That could be an interesting enhancement for when a player is being crit boosted by the Kritzkrieg.

very cool tech, the effect is awesome. I hope we get more effects using it!

Yep, this tech causes the rimlight, faceglow, and eyeglow!

Oh wow. I assume a similar thing is used to allow for the eyes to glow? A similar bug/trick can be used in SFM to illuminate only the eyes of a character model.

@PrivateerMan It basically involves abusing how old this game engine is. I have a large plane of glow in front of the face, and adding another plane of warping refraction in front of that. For some reason, this causes the glow to wrap into the face and create a rimlight. Probably sounds confusing, it's confusing for me to lol.

wow, this is the first time i seen an unusual affect the eyes outside of the killstreak weapons. this is some quality stuff here.

So how does the "Experimental outline tech" work? It looks like it could be a very neat effect.

very good

I think it's just the eyes and glow that can get confusing
Yo Joe Johnson  [作者] 2024 年 12 月 14 日 上午 12:30
@ALI=3NS That's definitely fair, my argument is that because this effect is in the head region rather than near your weapon, the difference in location makes it suitable during gameplay. However, I am currently playtesting this effect to make sure. I appreciate the feedback!

might actually confuse people if they're getting healed by a medic, Uber Blazed doesn't do this ftr
