Followed the guide one-to-one. Causes visual artifacts (stretching textures, glitched lightmap/shader) and requires manual uninstall.

Do I have to pick up a weapon to see the change?

I just started the game and I am still on the train, the crosshairs are still the same 5 tiny dots.

May I ask which software did you for creating this? I've tried to combine this addon and 'resource vanilla', but every trial has failed.

Best thing I could've done so far was addon that only applies to default HL2 maps, not maps from addons. I can say that the map addon didn't contain any TTF file or resource-related file in it.
