Don't get what's the problem now. Can you provide a screenshot? The mod should appear in the mod list, should have a description and besides that only alter 3 sound files. There are no additional options shown in the settings menu in case you mean that

In the update I think they have the menu option label borked. My options should several "UNNAMED" toggles now.

Why should it be deprecated? You can turn down all voice messages and you can turn off the contact faded messages. But I don't want to turn all messages down and I don't want to deactivate the contact faded messages completely. So the mod is still valid

i did the update, but don't see it in options, there is three boxes stating missing text, could be one of those?

In case you didn't see, you can deactivate these notifications via the options completely now. But maybe not everyone wants to get rid of them completely
