So how did it break? I don't know, but I'm pretty sure this is just a knock on effect of Firaxis being drunk and not actually wanting to make this game, and this mod would probably still work today if it was a regular Civ 5 mod.
Even when all you can see is the bare minimum of area around your first city, wow, does this make difference to how things look.
I agree on that point ^^ We'll see what i manage to do with the time i have ^^
I also want to suggest trying to do more artwork for the game. Some of it is ok but other things are very lame and short sighted design wise. Vibrant distinct they are not! lol ; ^ )
I tried them on Linux (Fedora 22) and they didn't work, it crashed the moment the game started. A pity!
As for modding... any way you can make something work, i think is a valid way. A lot of things aren't in any way prepared for modding, so naming is confusing, things are obscured... If you can make it work by using my mods by all means, go ahead.
If you eant to read more about how i worked wit this, check out this thread at the Civ Fanatics forums. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=537490&page=2 They also have wikis and very helpful people there. I haven't really worked with modding since these three, so I'm not really up to date anymore with what's possible.
