captions not working is apparently source engine's issue when you have too many mods enabled, so play without captions i guess.
And about gross ai, i didn't play much of the games (both Half Life and Gta:Sa), and didnt listen to all 7000(or more) voicelines i decompiled from gta. So some original voiceline could fit somewhere and i dont know. And i think the AI did pretty good, even to i had to manually remove some ai artifacts that i found.
About using scream for when he gets jumped by lamar. nah i think "shit" fits better.
