Ah, sorry. It was my oversight. I might bring this up on Discord, but since I posted it I noticed a thread about how Celsius is getting a lot of errors from a lot of different mods at the moment, it might be something more broad that would be best handled on their end.

@Imperior Please see the section on reporting issues as it specifically mentions not using discussions for bug reports
Imperior 29. aug. kl. 6:16
Though this mod usually works fine with Celsius, sometimes it causes issues. I created a bug report.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. kl. 2:57
@Eclipse Yes
Eclipse 24. aug. kl. 2:37
Do odyssey sandstorms cover the items?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 11. mar. kl. 8:45
@Aperson Well, the chunks arent there if the snow covers them so they cannot be hauled. You will have to remove the snow first
Aperson 11. mar. kl. 8:38
The snow also covered my icons, like the haul things icon over stone chunks
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. kl. 11:55
@Dizzy Ioeuy Well, yea technically they despawn but in-game you could see it as they being frozen
Dizzy Ioeuy 16. feb. kl. 11:53
plus they'd be frozen?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. kl. 11:11
@herorichard1123 I think they already dont, since they despawn.
herorichard1123 16. feb. kl. 10:02
you should make it so that food items under snow dont spoil
seba jedna wjeba 13. feb. kl. 16:31
straight up evil, i am installing it
Dizzy Ioeuy 13. feb. kl. 11:55
Mine do
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 13. feb. kl. 9:00
@Rex They should be
Rex 13. feb. kl. 8:46
Are corpses also get hidden by the snow?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. kl. 14:03
@Talvi Jam Campfires work with no issues with only this mod loaded. Your problem is due to some other mod-conflict
Dizzy Ioeuy 26. jan. kl. 21:07
Cool, ty!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. jan. kl. 12:52
@Dizzy Ioeuy Items in storage-buildings should no longer get covered in snow
Dizzy Ioeuy 25. jan. kl. 22:14
for now I just turn off the stockpile when it's snowed over. :)
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. kl. 22:03
@Dizzy Ioeuy Yes, since you are adding bricks on top of the snow and the game cannot have more than a stack per tile when the snow melts, it will place them near when spawning.
However it should not happen in a storage building. Ill fix that.
Dizzy Ioeuy 25. jan. kl. 21:55
Couple of problems:

Zone outside full of stonebricks. Gets covered up. They disappear... Good so far.

My people start putting new bricks there. Which displaces those that "disappeared" so when they get uncovered the pop up all around and outside the stockpile zone.

Same thing happening with other items in shelves outside- the snow is covering them up and they start putting new items on the same shelf.

хаха, крутой мод! удивительно что тайнен до сих пор не добавил такое очевидное нововведение...
Nightcrawler_117 14. dec. 2024 kl. 15:20
Could you possibly add a "Clear Snow/Sand" command while drafted?

Gets frustrating, real fast, having to wait for the caravan to passively clear snow from the battlefield with a raid timer telling me 8 gorrillion pigmen are on the way to kindly smash their pretty little heads in :HEALTHFUL:
Black★Rock Shooter 14. dec. 2024 kl. 13:02
Nice sandstorm add-on too. o7 this is pretty cool
Mbos 14. dec. 2024 kl. 12:30
Awesome Thanks.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2024 kl. 11:53
@Mbos Sure, should be added now
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2024 kl. 4:29
@Mbos I guess, could you link to that mod?
Mbos 14. dec. 2024 kl. 4:05
Would it be possible for this to also work with the sandstorm mod?
(As in instead of snow sand covers items.)
Hykal 13. dec. 2024 kl. 19:25
Always impressed by your willingness not only to adopt dead mods but also make new stuff, Mlie.
the oneders 13. dec. 2024 kl. 16:26
Great idea!
John DeWolf 12. dec. 2024 kl. 22:11
Thank you for the clarification.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2024 kl. 22:09
@John DeWolf They get buried when the snow height crosses over the limit in the mod settings. So just dropping an item on snow does not cover it, it also has to snow enough.
Wiseman05 12. dec. 2024 kl. 21:18
If the game doesn't tick them as being there when they're buried, and you set the deterioration rate to 0%, I wonder if you've created a winter-based improvement mod lol.
John DeWolf 12. dec. 2024 kl. 17:23
So the main thing I am wondering is, do items falling on the ground get immediately buried or does the weather need to change to snowing or something first?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2024 kl. 10:08
@SilkMoth The extra calculations should not be noticable, and I guess since the items despawn while covered they will lower the amount of items to handle each game tick.
SilkMoth 12. dec. 2024 kl. 9:56
how does this impact preformace? does hiding items like that imporve the preformance?
Sumatris 12. dec. 2024 kl. 8:59
That whole thing about corpses under snow being unaffected by the Deathpall reminds of World War Z (the book, not the movie), where regions like Greenland would be safe in winter but turn into no-go zones once the temperatures rise enough for all the frozen zombies to thaw out. Can't wait to add this to with my next colony :-).
Garlic 11. dec. 2024 kl. 21:19
It's neat but weird feature to have it as a mod. If it was vanilla, sure. It adds the game quality. But as for mod? Hmm... but I hope Tynan integrate this.
SoakieCat 11. dec. 2024 kl. 17:47
So true Mlie, you're a god in the modding community so I can't really defy your logic
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2024 kl. 15:16
@SoakieCat Why not
SoakieCat 11. dec. 2024 kl. 15:05
But why
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2024 kl. 10:42
@Bag_of_leaves Since they despawn they are technically not there until the snow is gone. So no rising bodies. But I could probably add it as a mod option if you want?
Leafity 11. dec. 2024 kl. 10:37
Do snow covered corpses rise under a death pall? Or does snow 'protect' them from it? Awesome either way
Fred_Flo 10. dec. 2024 kl. 10:31
@Mlie a hibernating gene would be pretty cool
ColossalFossil 10. dec. 2024 kl. 10:25
That is an interesting concept about the corpses though. Even if it were visually covered with no additional effects.

"What's the lump over there in the snow?"

"That? Oh, that's just Fred. We're going to resurrect him after the spring thaw."
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 10. dec. 2024 kl. 9:23
@Lionhardt As mentioned above, they will be found again when the snow melts
Lionhardt 10. dec. 2024 kl. 9:05
So what happens when the snow melts naturally over the seasons? Do they get uncovered again or are they lost?
Alexander The Great 10. dec. 2024 kl. 6:14
incredible mod man
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 9. dec. 2024 kl. 22:08
@Fred_Flow No, it only affects items, so corpses not living pawns.
I think stasis sounds like a nice idea but it would probably make more sense as a feature of like a hibernating xenotype race instead
