Hey, Cat-Lon, does this change the zone soil types?
I noticed South Wetlands is 100% Swamp, and 100% Arid, where the wiki says it should just be Swamp. I'm trying to pinpoint what in my modlist might be causing it.

If it does edit soil types, is there a changelog available?

While they don't cause compatibility conflicts, the map's lines won't match up if you have that.

I remember looking into making a similar mod a couple years ago but simply didn't know if it would work, very nice! I'll have to try it since there are some other small mods I want to make that could work really well with this.

I don't think any custom maps with zone lines are compatible with this. I've searched a month ago and saw nothing claiming to be. May have changed, though. Otherwise, one could probably bully me into doing it myself.

I'd imagine so, though that may be more a question for Atlas since he'd know more on if it alters the areasmap.tga
I believe it'd work, but I'd set this mod below Genesis in load order just to make sure.

The original areasmap.tga will not be overwritten, but will instead make the game use this one. Any other mods that add zones or edit zone borders will conflict with this mod as a result.

It's only expanded to cover the flat ground in Obedience. Getting the dialog to proc, or the proper spawns to appear there is a bit funky if it's only the very small zone, and it's too crazy when it covers the whole pit.
Like that little gap around Okran's Shield, it's still null because otherwise the Skimmer spawns get out of control.

That area remains as NONE since it doesn't really fit Obedience or the Fog Islands.

Hey again Cat-Lon, I found a 'NONE' area right below Obedience on the large southern mountain ridge. It doesn't affect much by way of base building but thought you might like to know!

Much appreciated! I'm exploring around without any map mods that show zone borders and instead relying on the coloration of the map and terrain to see how they align with the zone banner displaying. Cheers for the fast fix, and endorsed! :steamhappy:

Hey Cat-Lon! Should this fix the weird area northwest of the Swamp that shows as Border Zone while still in the wet swampy visuals? Mine is still transitioning into Border Zone long before leaving the lower area with Swampy visuals, but not sure if that's a load order issue or not. Thanks!

Essentially, mods that overhaul how biomes are. Larger zones make it more beneficial to live in places you otherwise wouldn't.

What'd I'd recommend for that sliver between Skimsands and Iron Valleys, would be to extend Arm of Okran over where Okran's Shield is, then fill in the rest with Skimsands or Iron Valleys. It's what I did with my personal biome map.

Thank you for the prompt response and helpful reply. California Climate has become a staple in my load order and am glad to see it's compatible.

I'll give this a try and see how the zones work out.
