So if I increase the size of parties 200%, then the cost reduction for influence on armies would be 20%. I think in the code it would be ".2."
I think this would end up balancing out somewhat... In my game I just modified taleworlds.CampaignSystem.dll and changed the influence cost of recruiting armies to be .1, so a 90% cost reduction. I was playing with 400% party sizes. I was still trying to balance but my game keeps crashes during large battles. Cant find the cause (I have lots of mods).
Feel free to try and let me know.
IA is not very smart in this game. If you increase a lot the party size, they will start to recruit as much as possible in order to go to the limit. But they may not be able to pay or have enough food in order to sustain whole the army which will lead to lords that will constantly lose all of its army.

Can you please check that the value is correctly corresponding to the value you have setup in the setting of the mod ?
Can you also send all the values printed in there ?
It should look like the following :
Base: 20
value1: + xxx
value2: + yyy
Party Size Modifier: + zzz
Total: 50
Damn, the crash report window on butterlib do not work anymore :c
Can you please try with BetterExceptionWindow mod installed ? You should get a new crash report Windows and you should be able to save the report.
This will give me a lot more detail of what is wrong.

If yes, can you send the modLib crash report as HTML ?
Normally, if you have put this mod at the bottom of your mod list, you should play with any other mod that update the party size and it should work fine. Enjoy
