it's a little hard to control with the pitch and yaw being the same as the pan buttons

Hey, I was really curious about the loading mechanism of ballista and I was wondering if you could either make a version of the ballista I can download without dlc or explain how it works? I can see that it uses the piston on the opposite wheel to work, but couldn't see the way it's anchored to that piston(I think it's a brace that's just obscured by the angle?) and couldn't figure out how to anchor it when I was recreating it.
