Could it please be a bluprint I can't find how to load a world

Dude we should play space engineers. Im trying to look for people to play with

Nice!

Amazing!

Yeah I get the idea, added to the list of potential future projects :)
another idea make a exo sphere with grav gen "whells" on both polar sides so that in the exo sphere could be deadly rotating rocks or rotating "buckshots"
cons it will be neded a lot of grav gen to ratate the projectiles and stabelise it, hipotesis of
geting out while noving at great speeds
mode of usage: moving the sphere to a point that it touches ( suicide ) and you guess it ;)

Having always tested these solo I never even thought of what happens once the target ship tries to move, can imagine that's pretty devastating also. Need to make some sorta of multiple spear launcher using those small ship slugs.. good thinking thanks :)

I find that solid slugs can often be more effective against heavy armour than explosive versions personally, It's penertration vs AoE (which heavy armour is made to mitigate). They're capable of getting through up to 3-4 layers of solid armour, make a decent sized hole, and once lodged inside, can do even more damage once the enemy ship attempts to move in the slightest. small ship versions with mass blocks on and fired from a large ship via Gravity generators has also proven to be quite effective, though it obviously doesn't make as large a hole, they're cheaper to build and take up less space so you can fit more of them on a single large ship, and they each still have that nice little habit of making the various holes they make quite a bit larger once the enemy ship attempts to move

@caffiend good idea, and I'm slightly ashamed by it also.. used a very similar technique in one of my more recent projects and yet didn't even think of using it on that one. n1 :)

@buarque.carla I see, so could either use thrusters to kinda slice into the hull or literally use grinders to cut inwards.. Could be pretty cool. Thx!

@{UASC} Cycad1 If nothing else it's certainly effective.. I should really calculate the material cost of the front of the "dozer" so I can actually compare it fairly. It decimates the ship it hits and keeps going and I'm pretty certain that one cost a damn sight more resources. Still such a simple concept I couldn't help but feel a bit silly :)
i meaned also good idea sorry
not by raming but by surgicly cuting trough the hull
had this idea from killzone 2 level where the ship was raided small ships that entered the ship by ripping the hull
but the ramming is also just with that knockback hipotsis
I think the ram idea is a very good one. Not stupid at all.
Here's a thought for the breacher with the mass blocks. Place a Grav generator either right behind them, or on the main section where the warheads are. That way, when the merge blocks are shut off they'll accelerate away from the main body in hopefully a straight line.
Troop carrier style I guess? Tear the ship open and then you run out to capture
hey try making pods that ripe the hull to get inside basicly a raider pod
@Bl1ndF1re Sounds like a fun and simple technique, gonna have to give that a try, gonna be cool to watch if nothing else :) n1

@[GC]Dragon The explosions aren't to do with the warheads actually detonating, it's because the merge blocks themselves explode and thus blowup the warheads nearby to them and destroy the middle of the ship. Don't think the safety will have much effect sadly :( Thanks for the suggestion though
General Dragon 2014
try putting the warheads on safety then, using a timer, that will trigger the merge blocks, after some time and distance, turn the safety off on the warheads, then follow through with the normal practice
Handy 2014
Something i tried way back before merge blocks were available was to just put armor blocks between the stages of warheads. Just put enough spacing in for each stage to clear the one behind it. If a large block warhead has a blast radius of 5 blocks; build one stage of warheads, tack 5 layers of armor behind it, then build the next stage. It does make for a large weapon, but it's cheap and simple. Each stage would just rip a deeper hole in a target. I love your designs, but I love simplicity as well.
