If not enabled, the Algae farm is the way to go, supplemented with trading or scavenged from encounters (if enabled).
I want to use proper solar system with Trojans, but it has custom planets and well doesnt work with Better stone a mod a really like, however I love Real Solar Systerms. :)
unless that mod works without having to make a new world, then it won't work on this map because pretty sure this is basically just his save of his game that you're loading after he made the planets position and stuff, unless i'm wrong about how this "published world" thing works
Asteroids are procedurally generated and the density can be adjusted by a single value in the save file. If you don't have any, then you have managed to remove that setting (or set it to 0).
In my playthrough I started on Cuprum (Pertam), and I know for sure the ores are much deeper than usual.
