nvm, it was the "Half-life 2 Character Expansion (More features) - Ep1" addon that for some reason includes your addon, it's the only one who enables it without this installed

i'm stuck with this addon's hud even 3 months after uninstalling it. i had the same problem of not being able to see the default resource icons when i first uninstalled this, but i managed to fix it by just installing the og halflife2.tff file.
now, for no apparent reason, it came back while i was playing episode one without even having it installed. i've tried the same method from before, and even tested it in a save from half life 2 to see if the problem was only in the episodes, but it never goes back to vanilla. i even tried installing the base resource file from the internet and unpacking it in the resource folder, but it simply will not go back to normal
im stuck with this mod, help?

it's weird, this works with condensed animated hud in a weird way, the loading order seems to not matter and matter at the same time, i think the key is literally not moving anything

I think it depends on the annabelle mod you have, because the "weapon_annabelle.txt" choses the icon that has it

either edit the file yourself or install an "annabelle" mod that adds the icon too

Personally it doesnt replace the annabelle's icon, but then again no mods that i find seem to do anything to the annabelle
