I like this new design, but to me, it's not going to replace the original, I'm totaly going the Halo route and call the old one MK-3A and this new one MK-3B.

I've always had a hunch, being influenced by these models alongside the MK-2, that the MK-1 was a high grade HAZMAT suit with stuff stuck to it, the kind of thing that gets called MK-1 retroactively, but it'd be nice to see it, especially it got that real hacky prototype vibes with stuff from other places duct tapped together, like Alyx' grabity gloves or the old Nintendo prototype controllers.

yes im sure thats why the scientist brought it up, because the suit he wore when it was brand new came with 30 years of paint wear, makes sense

Not a bug. You're just not overriding the texture correctly.

the VMT Files are bugged, I tried to make it in different colors, but no matter what i replace the mark3_body_d.vtf its stays the same orange

The model looks really good, it's probably my favourite rendition of the suit so far. My only feedback, a polarised visor for the clean version would be nice, and there are some small holes where you can see through the model. But only around the joints when flexed, like arms, legs, waist, chest.

Will you ever consider making an interpretation of the "Biomechatronic Mark One" The one scientist references in Anomalous Materials? I've often wondered what the HEV Mark One looked like in comparison to Gordon's suit, The name alone invokes a clumsy bulky thing in my mind.
