I tried lots of folder combinarions and putting custom on every main folder but nothing...is still at 45
cfg/skill.cfg
scripts/weapon_smg1.txt
and put them into a hl2/custom folder
I edit the script file but after the 20th anniversary update, it is stuck at 45
And yes, the game will dynamically adjust the crates to give you what you need, usually following a HP -> Armor -> Low on certain weapon priority (from highest to lowest)
And HL2 is too generous with ammo anyway, unless you're playing a stingy mod like The Tr1p.
Great mod by the way
NOTE: You should do this after getting new mods, since it resets for some reason. Any mods qualify to break how it loads.
Alternatively, you could use Crowbar to download this mod and place it in the addons folder for each game.
Brings some much needed ammo capacity changes, but the magazine changes do break if you subscribe to anything new from the workshop unless you start a new save.
THAT BEING SAID, it is neat to have more ammo
Fun stuff, just, not the best, but pretty neat
Thank you very much
Start Game, go to EP1 or EP2, load a save/start new game/load a map directly, check ammo counts, return to main menu, load HL2, load a previous save.
Latest game version, enabled only this mod
More investigation about this: Since every background is a map, technically all you need is to swap between games (aka go from HL2 to EP1 and then back), but this didn't work, a map or a saved game has to be loaded. No idea why this is the case.
