while these do look good, does anyone feel like they're kind of grainy at some angles??

this just replaces the detail texture with newer one, not the actual texture. so it shouldn't conflict with any other mods

I feel like I'll go insane from all the 4k mods.

Do I use a complete 4k mod? Will this conflict with the other 4k texture mods? Will this just overwrite certain texture mods depending on the order?

It might be us with our gpus not having enough vram to handle all kinds of HD textures mods. That's my wild guess, just tried the HD fire effect mod and it crashed my game, so I might have to dial down on the mods, lol.

actually this mod was ported from gmod, and I have had this mod among with 100+ addons. idk i played hl2 campaign in gmod before anniversary update, no crash happened 🤔

For me I'm using plenty of mods, especially from Half Life Alyx texture replacements and this one seems to crash my game on Ravenholm, just letting people know if you're having crash issues while using mods and probably hitting a possible vram limit issue with your gpu and having too many mods, lol.

i think would be nice to have a 2x upscaled version for people low vram gpu.
