i try using GCFscape to extract the VPK and nothing, there is no file(i saw the root file but when i extracting it and nothing come out).

not sure if i did anything wrong, but after i finished the process (extracting, etc) and turned on sv_cheats 1, it didn't show me the menu once i pressed shift + f1. rather, it shows me this debug menu with like fullbright and stuff on it. any solutions?:steamhappy:

This worked for me extracting but sometimes its diferent so check it out

@OGKingCat you don't need to extract, just put it in the half like 2 file and then grab all the vpk files and then drag them to the hl2 and then it will load up the game, load a save you made or open a level and then click shift + F1 worked for me, I didn't need to extract at all

Right ill help you, first you need to install an app called gfcscape, then you are going to the VPK and right click on the "root" folder, the addon is right there, then clikc on extract and put it for example on desk, now you gonna move every file inside the cfg folder to hl2 folder and youre ready 👍
