If you open up the game and go to the settings from the main menu and select the Advanced tab, there should be a button at the bottom of that section that is labeled "open userdata". Click on that and in the new window that opens select and open the settings file. In that file, on line 21 it says "experimentalmapsize = false,". Change the false to true and save the file. This will unlock 2 larger size maps called "huge" and "megalomaniac" as well as one smaller size map called "tiny". I think it also unlocks map ratios above 1:3.
You may need to restart the game for the change to take affect.

The map in Game has the corret oriantation thogh where up is north and down is south
