Those details are exactly what I was missing from Team Serviced
Thank you for taking the time to look and speak though, I have a lot of respect for people who give genuine critique on the workshop.
-Lastly, on the first comment you made, I feel I made the actual texture work stand out more compared to team paints already in-game. Blackout, Team Detail and Team Serviced has okay to very shoddy texture work, some not even utilizing the specular alpha channel that makes some of my favorite paints stand out.
I understand and appreciate the critique, but some points that I feel have been misunderstood with this paint:
- There is no camo on this, the grey texture is supposed to be galvanized steel. The same galvanized steel texture is on the team color as well as to not make it too solid.
-This is more semantics on my part, but this uses 4 textures. Brighter team color, a subtle team colored grey, dark grey/black grip texture and a brass color to balance out the colors.
For one thing, a war-paint that's just 2-3 colors with team color has already been done a lot. There's a lot of war paints with the team color and some grays, blacks, or browns, and the majority of those don't even get accepted for the game. Another type of war-paint that have been done to death is camo patterns, avoid making camo patterns.
Second, there's really a lack of unique theme, some artistic originality. The best war-paints I've seen have a colorful pattern with a clear, concise, and creative theme. Try making a themed pattern that's unique and stands out. I usually look at patterns of things that I like and create a pattern out of that.
I noticed is the lack of real appealing or eye-catching color. Some people don't like fully saturated colors, but saturation doesn't really matter as long as it has appealing colors. The best war-paint ive seen have vibrant colors such as Jazzy or Stardust
I hope this advice might help
