yellow means that map have conflict whit vanilla map, u need Purple, blue or green

enabling 'Constown with fort redstone and raven creek" in map manager also enables "Constown with fort redstone" as dependency, which makes the road leading to fort redstone not existent

Bug: "Constown with fort redstone and raven creek" does not work...if you enable it from mod manager it doesn't show in map manager cell map

This mod doesn't need to be included in your server's mod list, it's a tool you use from the main menu of the game. :spiffo:

I have played Project Zomboid on and off for past 10 years and this is the most incredible mod ever made for the game.

Im trying to host a server and idk if its correct, but exporting the maps is generating some repetitive entries in the mapmodmanager.txt (for example, in the MapFolder line i can see Valley_Station_44-19 repetead 4 times. Same for some other maps) What im doing is copying the exported data into my server.ini and i would like to know if it is normal for map names to be repetead.
Also, it would be nice to have a feature to add spawnpoints as an exported file or something that make possible to integrate spawnpoints.

Does this work with exporting maps to a dedicated server? adding maps to a dedicated server is incredibly tedious and would love for a way that i could download a mod collection that already has maps included, use the map mod manager and add them directly into the server and also be able to set spawn regions as well

Hey folks! I've just updated Map Mod Manager to now read your subscribed map mods directly, you won't need to wait for me to manually update the database anymore! It is currently only out for Build 42 , but I am working on a solution for Build 41, I just didn't want y'all waiting any longer for the update.

So what does this look like? Any map mod you're subscribed to, Map Mod Manager will read it's files and translate them into cells, so you can select them from your list and show any conflicts on the grid. It also applies to the dependencies, so you won't miss any required tiles or mods.

So just an update for y'all and where I'm up to with the update for Map Mod Manager - I've finally figured out a way to read subscribed map mod files, meaning we won't be reliant on a database anymore! It'll still exist for all map mods, but this way, if you're subscribed to a new map mod and Map Mod Manager doesn't have it yet, you'll still get to see where it occupies on the map. I'm still testing at this stage, but it should be out within a few days or so! :spiffo: :luv:

@jiizzjacuzzii sounds like adding it manually will take a lot of effort in the long run. any chance tools exist, which can make the mod read for maps locally on its own?

Brilliant mod! I would love to see an option to colour in boxes (a paint bucket feature) for maps that you haven't added yet so we can do our own independent checks.

I run my client and server with -nosteam so I can keep everything local. If I do that this mod will not work; giving an error and I cannot click anything.

If I run the game with the .bat file I can launch it with steam but still have it access my local files as a workaround.

this is a really cool mod, i didn't use it for ages, and then i set it up while bored in the PZ Main Menu sorting load orders out on our server and realized West Point Road Fix was conflicting with SecretZ Louisville Improvised Airfield. Had no idea. Thanks!

Hey y'all! Much anticipated update is here, I apologize for the delays!

So, what's new? Build 42 support! Bunch of cool new features (including mod load order, quick select maps and filter map cell/s), overhaul of the UI and performance improvements. Check out the changelog for more detail.

Why did it take me so long? Couple reasons, I delayed the release for 42 since there weren't too many maps up on the workshop yet. Overhauling the UI and improving the performance also took me a little longer than I expected.

What's next? Continued support and updates of course. Another juicy mod is in the works. If you fancy 3D modelling, reach out to me on discord, I could always use an extra pair of hands!

I haven't used this since initial release and now selecting all maps seem to lag a lot more than initial release.

While I was on the quest to modify one of the buttons to select all maps, I noticed nested loops in render, is that the only way you could do the grid? Is doing 2D array of panels more expensive than numerous nested loops in render?

I mean, theoretically, can adjust the panel settings on demand instead of looping the same unchanged data every tick, each panel can hold their own data. I certainly haven't tried having 3000+ panels on screen and if you too haven't try, maybe something worth experimenting upon but if you did try, you can ignore this. Also, using 2D array of panels might be easier to implement zoom in function as scrollbar can support child elements out of the box.

@jiizzjacuzzii awesome name btw 🤣 but yea I figure during our time in unstable mods are going to get broken pretty often.

Hopefully by the time the map tools come we’ll be far enough along that updates won’t be breaking things as much anymore.

As for those new features coming to 41, i don’t play on 41 anymore but I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on this to see what they are and will be exited for the day they finally come to 42 ❤️

Im curious if it’ll be possible to move map mods around using this mod if they’re overlapping with others. But I don’t understand the system well enough to know if that’s even possible so ignore me if I’m bein stupid lmao

Right now, there are 13 maps on the workshop when I grabbed the data last week. It's not enough to go off, and if updates are breaking mods (it happens in unstable), then it gets pretty tricky for me to keep on top of and update the database for you guys (so you're not being linked to broken maps).

I have the update for 42 pretty much ready, aside from some polishing but I'll release it when there is a bit more to go off. As for an update to the 41 version, it should be coming in the next couple of weeks with a bunch of new features. :spiffo:
