As for the loudness of the threat theme in general yeah that's something I could probably update. my monitor is always super quiet so that's probably why I didn't notice :brandnewemotion:
- "editneve" ambient track is just the threat music played in reverse. i really don't wanna call you lazy, but that feels lazy. at the very least you should un-reverse the drums and swap them out for something new that isn't in the threat theme. idk i'm not a music producer.
other than those issues though (and my game completely freezing up in the middle of the region, which i assume is unrelated to the region mod itself), eventide is actually really cool! i especially love the unique water coloration.
- threat music is too loud. arrangement and instrumentation for it sounds really good, it's just absolutely deafening in-game and needs to have the volume turned down.
- threat music layering is really shoddy. the way it's layered for eventide is really simple and just "layer 1: this one audio file. layer 2: this one other audio file" which should really be avoided unless you're sure layering it like that will work. for an example of how threat themes should be layered, you could go digging through the files of the base game/more slugcats to see how those threat themes are layered, basically it should always be up to 5 layers at once and each layer has multiple audio files it could play.
love it
Overall very cool region!
