@TheLoneWanderer The font is purely for aesthetics. It doesn't affect performance.

Are the fonts optional or are they required? --can I delete that folder as well? thx

@TheLoneWanderer It's hard to say how effective the performance improvement will be without testing, but I believe there will still be a significant boost even without the flatmap. I'm considering releasing a mod related to this, and in the meantime, you can try removing the flatmap if you want.

@Cartum - to use your mod with MB+, is it possible to just remove the flatmap from your mod? -would there still be a significant performance improvement? thx

@WTID "I understand the issue. The 'flatmap' in the More Bookmarks+ mod conflicts with the 'flatmap' in the Aesthetic & Performance-Friendly mod because it also covers Asia. Additionally, other parts of the mod become non-functional. If I have the time, I'll create a mod related to this.

@WTID To fix Asia colors when using with More Bookmarks:

1. Load Order:
- More Bookmarks (top)
- This optimization mod (bottom)

2. If you have issues:
- Delete both mods
- Reinstall them in correct order
- Delete shader_cache folder in Documents/Paradox/CK3

I'm having a weird bug with this mod right now. Even if I activate this mod alone, my game still crashes on the "Game Initialization" before the main menu. I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I'm happy to do any investigations necessary, should you require help with it.

I agree that the game performance is markedly improved and the game closes incredibly fast

@levi @JRyan @Al120 Thank you for your feedback. There might be some issues as the mod is still new. I will test the problematic areas you've reported as soon as possible.

I am not sure what you did but from what brief usage of the mod I've seen dramatic results. Namely in ram usage and the game closes a lot faster.

@levi Same problem. Could be a card issue, using RTX 2070 super.

just a quick heads up - this mod doesn't seem to work at all and just crashes when you are using Vulkan as your renderer, only seems to work on DX11 for me

@TheLoneWanderer To better identify the issues, could you please disable the other mods and run this mod standalone in a new game? I would appreciate your feedback afterwards. This way, if there's a bug, I can fix it.

**Update - this issue is only occurring outside of Europe and much of Asia. Seems to be limited to Africa and Middle East where special characters are being used

@Cartum - I am seeing that a single character has been replaced by an X surrounded by a rectangle . It can be in the name, religion, title, etc. It is only occurring once in any word. Is this an incompatibility on my side with another mod?

If I remove this mod, will my game still be playable? Thank you
