Increased Sinking Threshold - Makes Ships Sinkable Again! by Two Hands does not do anything.

4 nanban trade ships cant sink a bow kobaya with the mod you are using. Switch it with the recently posted "The REAL Sinking Fix" by Egalregent, it actually works.

This mod makes my bow warrior monks sound like cannons. I know there's a fix and I will try it, I just don't understand what part of the mod causes that. My only other mods installed disables the Yari wall and changes research bonuses and they didn't cause it before I added this mod

I should’ve also mentioned the compatibility side, lots of other mods implement their own versions of the fix (compared to something like the tariffs or monk XP/movement), so I don’t wanna mess up the compatibility and therefore I don’t see myself touching it in this mod.

And in game descriptions is mentioned that hattori/tokugawa ninjas/kishos ninjas are better agents and also warriors on the battlefield. In that way, change tariff, xp for ikko monks from holy sites etc. - are also “balance” changes.

As I mention in the description, I’m not touching balance in any way with this patch.

I’m well aware of the issue, and plan to eventually do my own separate fix for it, but until then, I recommend using this mod:

I’m not really in the mood to play Shogun again (having much more fun with working on Pharaoh Dynasties and playing other games) + there’s nothing broken that’s included in the mod that would require fixing.

It was not mentioned here before but also fix regular kisho ninja stats in Shogun 2. They are superior(with no reason) against Hattori/Tokugawa kisho ninjas. Some patch long time before broke their stats as regular kisho ninjas had 14/20/8/2 attack/charge/defence/ammo stats when the game was released vs hattori/tokugawa whos have 15/22/10/2 stats to this day. One faulty patch gived regular kisho ninja same stats as hattori/tokugawa except ammo - regular kishos have 11 now which made them hardly superior against special kishos ninja of hattori/tokugawa clans. And hattori/tokugawa clans were designed to had far better ninjas than others.

Heya, many thanks for this mod, is there any chance you can also make a version of the original patch mod thats simply updated for current shogun? Ik the author announced they were gonna update their but they said they were gonna have it done by 7-8 months ago, so it seems like they forgot, many thanks regardless.

It’s a trade off for making Monks on levels 4 and above not loose to freshly recruited Metsuke and I think it’s worth it.

Also it’s something that’s otherwise hardcoded and can’t be fixed more elegantly, so I’ll probably keep it for foreseeable future.

But anyone can modify the mod’s file as they see fit with RPFM and remove the fix themselves.

Dunno if I can really fix it.

I could try to remove Metsuke lvl 2 straight away recruitment, then the map would be flooded with Metsuke killing high level monks again.

As someone who often plays with Expanded Japan mod(s), I see it as a worthy sacrifice to ensure Buddhist factions’ monk agents don’t suffer.

This seems to be it. If I'm reading it right, everyone recruits Metsuke at level 2 to avoid the Monks getting insta-killed by lvl1 but the building chain suffers for it.

For some reason enabling this mod causes the School chain to give 1 less experience to Metsuke. School and Library give +0, Magistrate +1, rather than +1 and +2.

Should be, but honestly unsure if Darthmod incorporated any of the same fixes.

Might still have some outdated fix in it but can't tell exactly.

Worst case fixes from this mod will overwrite Darthmod's I suppose.

You’re definitely thinking of one of the many audio issues that plague this game.

I see you’ve commented under The Real Sound Fix ENG, but have you downloaded the newest version from the description of that mod?

I myself can’t really fix it because I don’t have any experience with audio modding.

in other words the carbine cavalry have the gunshot sound of the musket that the levy infantry or the line infantry use and the tosa rifleman have the gunshot sound that the spencer does.

Well aware of that mod, and planned to include it initially, but then a friend pitched me an idea for another possible variant of it, so I plan to release my own version independently and if people like it, I'll incorporate it here.

Won't be right away though, as I don't even have Shogun 2 installed atm (I shift between Total War and games in general a lot).

Other than potential tweaks mentioned previous comments, there aren’t any major plans currently.

I’m mostly focusing on WH3 and Pharaoh at the moment.

Plus I don’t know what else to fix that’s actually fixable.

@Otho I finally understood why they removed the yari ashigaru +18 chats, it was to scrape the bottom of the barrel for money before daddy sega started liquidating them.
