please for the love of God change the teleporter system, if someone goes down in 1 room its a complete gamble on if you'll be in the right room to get them and if not then they just die. Otherwise its a decent map

Run the game in English. Using a custom font can break the game in other languages unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have actually tried to go back and do a 2.0 update to change/add a BUNCH of stuff, including adding a flashlight for the dogs/no power lightstate, as well as removing the death room (Staminup) to make the teleport system much more viable, as well as adding new locations and EE's outside of Tanglewood and adding to Brownstone High, but the map has been crashing every time I remotely attempt this. Even copying the map over to a new Radiant .map file has not helped in the least. At this point, I would have to start completely over. And I just can't do that right now. I have a massive project I've been working on in the background since 2021 that I'm almost done with, and a small themed map coming (hopefully) later this year. That's my new priority. I would love to re-visit the Phasmo universe in the future. But it'll probably be in the far future now.

@TheUnknown,... great concept and love what you have so far but if i could make the suggestion of adding a flashlight by double tapping the interact key like other maps that are kind of dark. i think that would be an amazing quality of life update to this map and any other Phasmo map you might add. also can i ask why sprinters start to appear so quick lol, i get its suppose to be a bit of a challenge map but sheesh. just my two cents to consider, otherwise great map lol

I actually would love to come back and do a 2.0 update/release, where changing the teleportation would be my number one priority, along with a bunch of other changes. But that would be after my current project. It is definitely on the table though.

I also really liked the weapon wall in the truck in place of the ghost hunter equipment. That was a nice touch.

Visually fantastic map, a lot of cool areas from the game as well.

Some of the zombie spawns could be better, it's weird watching them climb up through concrete floors and wooden flooring. Tbf that is just a personal gripe I have with some maps even considered the best though, it bothers me more than most I imagine

The dogs can be quite tough, which I think would be fine (they are too easy otherwise by default). The issue with the dogs is more it can be difficult to get properly equipped because of how the teleporter works, where all the perks are located, and how expensive everything is. Gearing up properly in time for later round dogs I found problematic personally.
I enjoyed the map the more once I turned on AAE lite and increased the point scoring a fair bit.

The audio and ambience on the map is a huge selling point, it even does the droning sound indoors that Phasmophobia does which is really neat.

Are you running any mods? Are you trying to run the map with /developer2? I've noticed a running issue that my maps don't really run well with other mods. And/or do you have your language set to anything that isn't English? I have a custom font for English, but that tends to crash the game if you are running in any other language. Other than that, I don't know off the top of my head. These are all new errors I haven't seen.

Quite a decent map! A few easter eggs with a buyable ending is nice.

Not sure why people are complaining so much about the dogs as I didn't find them too difficult but, yeah, the teleporter is a bit annoying.

I beat this map, the visuals are really nice, it is a good small map. Like everyone has been complaining the dogs are really hard to counter and the teleporter is crap. I think though, it is a fun map and is worth downloading. :bo3smile::steamthumbsup:

Thanks boss, map is pretty awesome but round 6 dogs was pretty aids LMAO. Would be nice to make the teleporters go to the same place and not random. I had to try to many times to get to packapunch and my buddy died cuz I couldn't res him in time

And also, thank you for that. And that's exactly the point. I wanted a re-creation from the start, obviously. Which is why I'm very hesitant to change certain things, like the darkness while power is out. That IS Phasmophobia. And I'm just going to be honest. My scripting skills are very amateur. I don't know how to link teleporters together through my own custom code. I have to work with what I have, which in this case is randomized teleportation. And at this point, I feel even if I knew how to change that, and some other things I've heard complaining about, I'd still get a lot of complaining. Which has just burned me out of the project. I had a farmhouse planned to be added, but the random teleportation is a big issue already, and that would only make it worse. And again, I don't have the skill set to set up scripting for non-random teleportation. I've moved on to a new original project entirely.

Follow up now that I died, I think it's a faithful recreation and it's definitely not a "dog shit" map for being accurate to what it was made from, I think the amount of dogs is only a real issue if you're in the house cuz then you can kinda get fucked by the gas, but the guns in the mod are more than strong enough to kill them, good work it's pretty awesome

This map is absolutely dog shit BUT super fun. i get it but nobody asked for a thousand dogs on round 6 that do not die to hardly any guns in the damn house. tried this map 4 times and still do not understand how the teleporters work at random. i guess im super unlucky and my teleporter kept me in the damn packapunch area and those sprinters who run at mach speed kill me everytime. would love to see some updates for this map dog PLEASE. the sprinters had me laughing more than anything with the goofy ahh movement.

Solid map, love the phasmo maps that this community has made however with this one specifically there are a few issues my crew experienced while playing.

1. With the AAE mod enabled, being locked out for "illegal score detected" after tryna withdrawl like 4k from my 250k storage so i could buy doors and then the entire crew not being able to deposit, withdrawl, or store weapons was kind of a bummer as this is the only map thats done that so far out of hundreds of customs I've played.

2. Teleporters felt way too long on cooldown for just one player at a time, couldn't teleport multiple players at once, might wanna fix that

3. Dogs tended to clump and not chase after the players

4. Having to spend 5k to leave the HS Pack area right after packing was kind of an unnecessary expense imo, especially with the teleporter issues listed in 2.

@IamAnon1 I don't remember ever saying camping wasn't the intention. In fact, I got the idea for this map because I have friends who tend to camp more than train. Not only that, there are two locations that are absolutely trainable. Very challenging, yes. But far from impossible. Not only that, but I go through each and every weapon I add to the pool and change their values, and then test very heavily in-game. The snipers and most shotguns PaP'd are a one shot to the low 40's. Most snipers (especially the Barrett) are a one shot head shot until 50. Most AR's have very high head shot multipliers, so if you're good at aiming, AR's should be viable well past 30-35. Again, this is from me and my friends heavily testing weapons and their viability. I hate it when guns are pea shooters in the mid-20s. Either you're not PaP'ing or you're shooting lower than the neck/high torso area. You're the only one to mention this as an issue.

@Vanessa Yeah that has been a thought. I don't know easy or difficult it would be to tie the flashlight to different light states. I obviously wouldn't want it on while power is on. I don't know, maybe it'll be easier to script that than I would think. So it could always change, for sure.

Generally great map, however, I have my complaints:
1) Since the zombies spawn in from everywhere and also are super sprinters, the map unintentionally promotes camping.
2) Any round after round 25ish is redundant because every single "normal weapon" are all peashooters.
However, these are just my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Yep that's the idea, did it for mine, since I'm French, I had to search "en_zm_tanglewood" and rename it into "fr_zm_tanglewood"

That's literally it.

I found the solution to the "it_zm_tanglewood" error
The error is that the map is made 100% in English. The only thing you have to do is go to the internal file of the custom maps workshop and search for the downloaded map. Then you have to change the name of the file which will surely be "en_zm_tanglewood"
And change the first acronym to the language in which you have downloaded the game, in my case I had to change it to "es_zm_tanglewood"
(SPANISH)
If you are Italian, you must put "it_zm_tanglewood" and so on with all the acronyms of the languages.
I can't put images to show how that must be but I hope you'll understand.
(The map is fucking incredible)

New update. Changed some zombie teleport values. *SHOULD* help with zombie spawns breaking. There also should be a fix for "bad node" error that was rare. Still really nothing on the it_zm_tanglewood issue. Hopefully a simple update will fix whatever that is. If any of these issues are still occurring please let me know.
