Yea sometimes it works for people and sometimes it doesn't. Some other add-ons out there use the same file but have differnt names for different items.
It only says it conflicts because it shares the same texture files, so no worries it wil still work just fine in game
As for the name change if yo have any other add-ons that change the name changing file it will take which ever was downled first as priority to use.
I'm sorry but I'm gonna leave them as is.
VALIDATING your L4D2 files should fix everything. In order to do that you have to go to your STEAM GAME LIBRARY and RIGHT CLICK on L4D2 and then SELECT PROPERTIES and a window will appear. SELECT the tab named LOCAL FILES and then CLICK on the VERIFY INTGRETY..... button.
Have you tried VALIDATING your L4D2 files?
Crash your game?
Thats just the way I wanted them to be like. I wanted the Heavytrooper Marines to be in L4D2 and the Basic Marines in L4D1
Team A? Are you taking about this one? or is it completley different?
I do plan to make ODSTs from REACH as well.
Both mods work perfectly fine with each other both online and offline. They just share a Character naming file.
"I love your addon, but there is a conflict between this and the L4D2 pack. I must either tick this addon or the other one before joining a server, it's really annoying.
Else it's brilliant, keep up the good work. :)"
Thanks, personaly this is my favorite one I made, I'm currently planning on adding 4 more people to the squad. The squad is a total of 12 people but 4 won't be in the L4D addons, just part of the story.
