That's now been fixed.
And I also checked an older save that I know didn't have the Drone 1.0 showing as build-able, and it's there too. So this is friendly to older saves.
That said, it won't have an affect on the 1.0 drones from appearing. That's just the image used for the mod itself, i.e. the one you see on this page.
Did you open the mod in Mod Editor? If so, it will download a local copy of it, and that needs to be deleted before you unsub/resub to refresh the mod as it will keep that one even if updates are made.
I'm in the process of doing a Guardian's playthrough to replicate the 1.0 drone not showing, which should be done today.

Oh that's odd. in Mod Editor mode, I went to File>Game Log, and while browsing through it, I noticed an error message.

I'm doing a new playthrough and will see if I can replicate it, and adjust accordingly. If I can't fix it, I'll plop it back to it's vanilla setting.
The vanilla Battle Drone is now also under the Drones of War submenu.
There's a possibility support might get added to SAD_CommonLib, but as it stands it's not fixable. So, just pretend they're invisible lasers (which do exist!).
Yes, I am definitely going to try this one out! :D
