Try downloading the Alternate mod loader and using it, i think the problem with the mod is that when the game starts up the loader that comes with xcom on steam doesn't see it. When i tested the AML i was able to get it to work on lwotc.

I am using the non 2k Launcher, it appears in the mods menu

Are you using the alternate mod loader? Ever since the 2k launcher was removed i noticed that i could only get the mod to appear in the AML. as much as i'd like to fix that issue i wasn't able to figure out how.

The only thing this reminds me of, is the soldier from tf2. The voices are almost similar, in a way.
Happy to have it in my repertoire of voices
