They appear to still be good on my side BUT if you let me know what's the exact issue, when you say they are broken, maybe I could keep an eye out. Otherwise yes try to relaunch and if it fixes the issue it could potentially be your files that might require a verification

when go to load the game liara and tali sheets are broken but that might just be me needing to reboot the game and reload the mod which happens sometimes

All the assets are basically "preplaced". on the right of the table you have the campaign map with bags on each mission icons. to load the mission you want to play, click the "Place" button of the bag. it'll load everything and shuffle the enemy bag and cards into place. all that will be left to place by you are the loot tokens (bag with the same name) and enemy token. to grab the tokens from those bag just click and drag on the bag. dont "grab" without moving the cursor for too long otherwise youll grab the bag instead of a token inside

Perfect! I have been able to load the table/main game, and add the new characters. I am running this on steam on my desk top. Now....how do I actually play? I can't figure out how to select a mission/place a map or anything. Sorry if these are dumb questions!

To add the extra characters is actually simple, once you load the Workshop game through the Game tab from the top of the screen, you'll wanna reopen the Game tab and in the Workshop section each extra characters is gonna have a 3 dot icon click that and select load additionally (or something on that line).

Otherwise you can load each character on their own, saved them as favourite objects and then bring them in the game but that method feels longer then needed

Hello, I just purchased TS specifically for this. I bought the physical board game a few weeks ago and was excited to find this because I wanted new characters! How exactly do I add this all to the game? I "subscribed" to everything but don't know what comes next.

Thanks and opinion/critic received, I just thought it would be a nice touch, I can probably see your point, but not to the same extent but if you're willing to make a donation I could try and hire the actors although the Voice actor for Zaeed, Robin Sachs passed away, to do the transcription :p (making jokes here) also voice for emotes are from the games themself not Ai

I really appreciate all the work that has gone into this, its very well put together and I'm very excited to see more characters added. However I am not so keen on the ai voices as it doesn't sit well with me nor the voice actors who play these characters we love so much. I can understand its not nice to need to read all the text yourself especially in a virtual space like this, but I feel that it is disrespectful to the voice actors who bring these characters to life.

Thanks! Also, I know you're focused on adding new characters, but I'd love to see some minor reworks of a few of the default characters. Tali feels underpowered, although maybe I just haven't played as her enough. Liara I would love to see have less Health and/or Shields and increase the viability of her biotic powers to reflect what a glass cannon she was in ME3. Garrus survived a rocket to the face, and Turians have better HP/Shields than stock Humans (barring Shepard and James) in ME3, so in my head I figure Garrus should have +1 HP or Shields. Shepard is already amazing once leveled, but I think is the worst Level 1 character as-is because of how awful Shoot is. Would love to see a single die Shoot ability to make the flow of play smoother for Shepard. Wrex is perfect the way he is, though--perfectly OP in all the ways he needs to be XD

That's awesome. I love almost everything I've seen here. I'm putting comments on each character that I hope you'll find useful. Not looking to nitpick, just help out with my English major skills and feedback on game design. I know many of these are WIPs, so you probably already know some of the characters need formatting updates for dice symbols and some rephrasing of abilities.

Thank YOU, Ostalius! Question--I saw notes about DLC characters such as Legion being playable. How do I access those?

Also, I want to report a difficulty I had in setting up a board. I was trying to select Garrus's Loyalty Mission and hit Setup instead of Place. The Workshop then went into an object selection mode. I had to click Cancel in order to Place. If I selected an object, it altered what was in the Loyalty Mission bag. The Place button also disappears during this process. This is probably user error and not an actual glitch, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of it just in case. Note to all users: Click Place instead of Setup for playing maps!

Neilan, i used elevenlabs and imported some voice example for ai to read lines. had some troubles with Tali and liara when it came to certain ones.

Most of my complaints or critiques aren't with the workshop, but of the actual board game this is based upon. Like, why are Guardians the enemies with ranged attacks and the Assault Troopers fight at melee range? The Paragon/Renegade mission completion criteria make for an interesting gameplay decision, but sadly are not always tied to actual weighty decisions. Still, I recommend all Mass Effect fans to try this with some friends at least once. After all, we never got to play co-op in Mass Effect outside of the ME3 multiplayer, which didn't have a story at all. Huge props to OSTALIUS for making this.

I just played the 1st mission and tested the workshop for the first time. I really appreciate how the mission scenarios are accessible at a click of the mouse. What's more, a lot of love clearly went into this. The physical board game includes gray / unpainted stationary figurines, but this workshop has figurines that are fully modeled, painted, and even animated! I love hearing actual Mass Effect music while in the workshop room, and using AI to read out the text was an inspired choice. EDI, Garrus, and Wrex have believable generated lines, though Tali much less so. Having a great time with this so far.

Thank you for creating this on TTS. I'm a huge Mass Effect fan and I want to play the board game, but realistically will only ever get to try it with other people digitally. Also really nice to get to try it prior to buying.

Fixed the button and some other things, Was still unable to have the dice accidentally enter bags except from the Loot and Minion bags (blocked it for Loot, minion fix is coming). Still went ahead and moved the button slightly

The table has a tendency to "eat" dice when recalling them. By chance, one of my friends happened to notice it going into one of the bags next to the button - if you update the table again, could you move the button closer to the main "board" area?

I noticed a irl mistake for Mission 2A Missing Stair. if you are to do that mission, the Renegade path point to read story 95. this is wrong it should be 33. It's something that will be fixed in the tabletop simulator version.

Hey Ostalius, figured out what the issue was with the Hazard cards. I had physics turned off which is why the card floated. As soon as I enabled physics, the cards fell into the discard pile.

I just loaded a new game and placed mission 1A on the board. Placed a Hazard card on the table, flipped it, and hit the Discard button. It again floated above the discard pile so not sure why it's only happening on my end. Not a big deal though.

basically reproduction "step by step" you do to trigger the issue.
it could help me reproduce the issue in order to fix it, cause like I mentioned on my side they land on the table when I press "Discard" so can't determined if maybe its cause by something else entirely and your step by step of what YOU do to reproduce could help me pin point.
does it also occur if you load a new game file and not a saved file of the game?

Thanks for feedback its really appreciated, I seem to have fixed the cards not being recalled (will update the workshop item soon with a note), as for the card floating, couldn't reproduce on my side, when I click the "discard" they land on the table in the discard pile... Do you happen to have different repro steps?

One other bug I noticed that when you click the Recall button after you've finished a mission, it doesn't always recall the Hazard cards. You have to then manually move the Hazard cards back into the mission bag.

I noticed one thing, Ostalius. When I press the Discard button on the Hazard cards, they end up floating in mid air above the Discard pile section. I have to click on the floating card to bring it down to the table. Thanks again for making this mod!

This is a great adaptation of the board game. Love that you added animated 3D models for the Squadmates and Elite enemies. Really well done, Ostalius!

Each missions are saved with their Door, Objective, Refugee and/or turrets tokens in the bags saved on the Campaign map. Simply click "Place" on the bag that is associated with the mission you want to play. All you will need to place are the enemies (Minion bag that will spawn on the mission book/board and loot tokens (from a bag that will also spawn by the deck of card.

One of the attached media (the campaign map) shows the missions bags I am talking about.

WalkingSaint after taking a look at the Pen/Draw line function it works on my side, I know you can only draw lines on Locked items, the why I also created Token for level up tracking for character sheet (since it needs to be move around during selecction for example) as for Campaign and mission board theyre locked in place when you load the workshop item. unless they somehow unlock for others then me :/
