I would like to update this mission pack but have had to focus on reworking the base game missions and the team's work on new carrier mechanics and AI. Cheers

Not ideal, but it is what it is.
@RedApneic, no I don't think 5 is winnable with the new AI that can spot your formation immediately and classify you as hostile. Updated version is coming

@HofVanStrudel - yes, AI can make determinations based on player behavior in the last few updates. Formation type, heading, and speed (and launching/recovering helos) will indicate an enemy formation to the AI. And yes I have joined the Triassic team as of June for mission/campaign work and assisting with overall game/AI design. Cheers
PS: A good rebalance would be to move the TU-95 further back or the formation back so that there is time for CAP to reach/intercept the recon plane.

@aliyr7592 -- mission 5 is likely not actually winnable at this point as we recently introduced new AI logic that will classify player ship formations as hostile just based on their composition, heading, and behavior. In the previous iteration of this mission you could safely sail around in a tight formation without the AI identifying you.
I have a rework of this entire campaign in progress, working on it off and on now that we have delivered the PLAN update, Cheers
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for this awesome mission pack🙌 The missions and details are amazing! But I’ve gotta admit — level 5 is insanely hard! I’ve tried everything and still can’t beat it! Still, huge respect for the work you’ve put into this ❤️
Are you planning to re-do the campaign again since we got PLAN?
This is one of if not THE best campaigns out there and I would love to replay it with new content.
Thank you very much for explanation. Looks like I'm going the same path as you did - online chart tools and Gimp instead of Photoshop.
Could not find NTDS symbols to build in maps though, so had to create them in Paint and port into Gimp projects )
I tried to use in-game map for briefing, but it's very uninformative even if I add exact city/ports locations to .ini files. Online charts are way better, but yes, copyright issue remains...
As to other questions on units disappearing, I have not reworked all missions recently so it's possible things aren't working as expected (this mission pack was released in December 2024 so it has been a while). An update will come soon but needs to be after we release PLAN units into the base game. Other possibility I can think of is that mods could be interfering. Cheers
May I ask what map engine had you used for briefing ? They are very informational.
Have not had this problem in any of the base game content.

@Calcium -- not sure on this either, mods may be interfering with SAR. On vanilla it works fine. These are just missions and nothing about Pacific Strike modifies the base game behavior.
@ChadSimpKing -- this may be the same issue as OD1199, I'll see if maybe a classname changed. Cheers
