I believe it's already fixed with yesterday's patch.
Anyway... there's a possibility it's caused by another mod or a corrupted save file too...

Private chests, the one with golem in the thumbnail. I can link if needed.

but aside from that, its running on linux, no actions taken it just happens shortly after starting. and the mod config is the one you had in the comment

is it a dedicated Linux server?
what other mods the server uses besides this one?
what action was taken to cause the error?
what is the mod config?

after installing the mod and placing the config this is the error I keep getting and the server crashes. any help?

In my tests with a dedicated server on Linux (CentOS), the config files only got created automatically when I started a new world without using the "-world" parameter.
Not really sure why but anyway (it's not a mod issue I think)... you can just create the '.cfg' file manually... it'll work fine with an existing world.

The file path in my tests was this one... it might be a bit different for you...
"/home/necesse/.config/Necesse/cfg/mods/settlementmultiplayerfixed.cfg"

Here's the file content in case you want to create it manually:

In the cfg folder i do only have banned.cfg, server.cfg, settings.cfg and the auth file. No mods folder.

There is no config file for me. I am running a bare metal server and managing via Pterodactyl and the path would be home/container/cfg, but there is not mods folder within the cfg folder and no config file.

The mod cfg file is located in the default cfg/mods folder... I didn't change that.

It's perfectly possible to implement the code to prevent visitors from entering private settlements, I just didn't find it necessary since all objects are blocked anyway.

On most computers the mod's .jar file is located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\1169040\3345910367

On my computer it's slightly different because I use another drive for games:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1169040\3345910367

However, the base path is the same:
..\steamapps\workshop\content\1169040\3345910367

So, if you’ve already subscribed to the mod, just locate that Steam directory on your system and you'll be able to copy the .jar to your dedicated.

I'm not a professional programmer (my background is in database administration), so I don’t usually work with GitHub or follow the same standards that experienced developers do (as I tend to handle things in my own crazy way).
Still, if you're curious about the mod's code, it's just a regular ".jar" file like any other and its contents can be easily viewed in the same way as the Necesse code.

hey the mod is nice but to too inflexible the config is empty you need something like "can use portal network yes/no" "can use doors yes/no" "can talk to people yes/no"

I was unable to simulate this error on my computer.

Please open a new topic in the "Discussions" tab, with the following...
- What operating system you are running on...
- If it's dedicated server or not...
- What mods are you running along with this... (maybe it's a conflict with some other mod)
