I think the answer is yes, we just need make it 18x6
so each building background have 3x3 = 9 buildings in it

But...
I am afraid the building will too small to operate lol

By the UI design I don't find a beautiful way to do 36 slots at the moment.

For ex.,
do it as 9x4 will make it same height as 12x4 version, but just more empty building background.
do it as 12x3 will make it same width as 12x4 version, also just more empty building background.
the building icon itself will be the same small as 12x4 version.

So please use 48 slots version instead, or maybe we need try to find out a magical idea about how to make it useful and beautiful :D
