Hideaki Itsuno is the director for 2 on the second half of the game's production, and he and his team only has like 6 months to salvage what's left of the game after the original director left. He managed to salvage the project, but the end result is not very good, which he regretted. Itsuno also haven't figured out the formula that makes DMC great yet because of the time constraint.

It's not until he released 3 that he finally redeemed himself and solidify how DMC should have been.

Judging this game is not worth it, it's like a continuation of DMC1 for one evening after work.
