@Infinite Hi, I love this modded planet and I would love to use it on a small multiplayer server with friends. The only thing i would like to change for the purpose of our little private project is the spawning of ore. This planet is supposed to be the central planetary body which is the only place where platinum and uranium are spawning. My question is if i may have your permission to change that for our server and upload this mod unlisted so that my friends can also access it and we can play together. I do not wish to copy your work or upload it publicly. I just want it for 1-2 months server project. And after that I delete it again :D.

Asking as I'm looking to make a new server for a group with RSS on and dropping in some extra planets. Ignis looks amazing and fits the bill. RSS is the most popular mod of all time on the SE Steam community, so I thought I'd ask before assuming it's compatible, since I don't want to make a compatible version and repost it (for myself and others who use RSS).

I have never added a planet before are you supposed to find a spot for it or does it spawn in a random location?

Hi Infinite, I have a question. I'm currently creating a new SE scenario, which I'd like to make available to our community on a dedicated server once it's finished. I'd like to include your Ignis planet in this scenario, because they turned out pretty cool. I hereby request permission to use your planet and, if necessary, to modify it and to upload it to the workshop.

Every once in a while the textures don't load all the way, so I gotta reload it, like with other planets, but its an epic world, and perfect for a prison planet, cuz even if folks escape, they are not getting off so easily with the stuff they got here. I am thinking this reminds me of Crematoria, or however they call that world from the Riddick movie. Might just set up a castle here and turn it into a hardcore maximum prison, just like other worlds. Folks become bad, they go to a hell like place like this, lol.

Your planets are amazing! Sent you a friend request. Would love to pick your brain on planet creation. Thank you again for such an amazing planet!

@Vas Love the reply thanks... So, have you ever played on a planet where the vanilla thruster's are not strong enough to get you off the planet? If, You have and you got off the planet you used a mod. Not that I have to define and explain myself to you what so ever. I know the type of person you are one who just looks to cause issues and trouble.. This is a game should be fun and if you start on a lava planet class that's your problem and in many cases most would have a crew or another ship near by. There are so many different ways to play. You trying to limit it to only one outcome... P.S. If, I was being rude trust me you would know it.

P.S. Oxygen exists on this planet, its 5%, unbreathable. This is from the mod files. However its enough that you can still use a vent to collect it.

@Silver, another lava planet mod has ice in the form of meteor rocks that you can mine. There needs to be a way to get hydrogen so you can leave the planet, of course. Otherwise its a planet that you can't ever leave if you start there. You shouldn't need mods to get off of a planet.

OK so the author has not replied to any comments on this so I will say this to try to help you all out a-bit... For finding the ores easier use a modded ore detector. Clouds Really it's a lava planet the whole plant so even if clouds were here they would so be out of place given the temp of the planet and so forth. Why in the hell are you asking about ice it's a lava planet? @Vas Use gravel sifter mod to help produce that and the vapor mod.. Those will give some ice there are a few different mods that can help with that.. SO THERE IS NO ICE IT'S A LAVE PLANET just wanted to point that out one more time... Since people seem to think there is suppose to be ice on a lava planet... Glad I did not attend your schools.. Oh look a lava planet it will have ice right....

Small request, think you could add the word "Planet" to the start of the mod name so that it shows up in mod lists in game as "Planet Ignis"? :P Makes it easier to see which mods are planets so I can simply type planet to add all at once.

Is there a source of ice or hydrogen in case this is a starting planet?

I dont have any issues with mine.. Try resubbing to the file here see if that helps.. Otherwise it sounds like a mod conflict.. Like maybe you are using ores for planets that are modded and it's somehow interfacing with the planet in a bad way.. Alot of mods have not been updated yet so On my end I have no issues with the planet and I am running with just a few simple mods I have used for years now and I have once again no issues with the drilling or converting to ship.. Check into the mods your using and see if that could be related to your issue..

So i made my ship as crashed and inbedded in the rock i just drilled it out.. It was floating at first then converted to ship and fell to the ground as it should.

I will check it out on the crashed sec i have on planet and see if its stuck there.

@SILVER Doesn't help, and with unsupported stations disabled that shouldn't matter.

I might make a video later with this world since I used it for a small play thru. Of a crashed ship.

Hey, any plans for a proxy? I tried making one myself but couldn't figure out the clouds. Given some of the proxies with clouds in your solar system pack I'd say you've figured it out. Thanks

Having trouble with strange grid behavior, as if disabling "unsupported stations" option in the world properties has no effects only on Ignis. If I go to or build any static grid on the surface and then cut a part of it off to where it should fall to the ground it remains static and suspended in the air. If I go out to another planet or asteroid I'm able to cut sections of static grids off with no issue as expected.

This is a very challenging planet and I have loved playing it in Survival. Yeah its tough but that is what makes it interesting. No Ice (obviously, it's a lava planet) but I just flew to space and grabbed some from an asteroid.

Can you update to work with RSS?

that's great, with the 10 planet generation i used only this planet as testing and the lava is like non exist for me sadly sooo sry but i don't know why other mods should be relevant for me in this issue.

@Neo I think a lot of planets use custom voxels so if you have a lot of modded planets in your world, some of them won’t get their textures loaded.

I’ve been trying to find a way to get past this for the past week and haven’t found anything that lets you load unlimited custom voxels in your world.

how to survive

unfortunately Infinite has taken all of your hydrogen till you go to space so

first thing you should do is focus on getting a basic assembler, refinery and a oxygen farm up, your survival kit ice won't last forever, also solar panels* or wind turbines
then scaffold 24/7 to your stuff, you'll need to build a ship with it cause again, Infinite has taken all of your hydrogen till you go to space so
no hydrogen my boy use hybrid ion/atmospherics, you may need to cheat a little bit

*if Infinite can make proxy textures for this and his other planets for Real Solar Systems that would be nice, cause then we can place this REAL close to a big fat star and watch as our solar panels go to 3 bar with one facing sideways | https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3350589349

@Junoh You can use the Oxygen Farm block to live. Ofc this does force you to use the scaffolding blocks with the lack of hydrogen.

No oxygen and no ice means you can't make progress in survival unless you die constantly. It might actually be fun to try though.

Watermod > Change water to lava > have it apply damage > beatiful <3

I'm guessing there's no ice/water to be had leading to a slow and painful death when trying a survival spawn on it, heh.
