What I gather is that if you succeed in the minigame normally you just get a free random upgrade and then the Starred ones just get you the best (+4%) of one of the options?
But then I fail to see what the hammer tool does, that I bought from the tinkerer. I used it, it is gone. I can't seem to find any reason for purchasing it.
What this mod needs is a proper description here on the workshop page so basic functionality is explained.
(using now mods that allow me to reforge armors and accesories, and calamity)
If you have the Off-hand Slot, then the hammer icon will cover up the right side of it's icon, meaning you'll take out whatever item that's in that slot when you reforge things.
Wonder if some compact with those two mods can be done to avoid overlaps.
Making weapons via forging works perfectly fine, but weapon reforging is just completely unavailable while the aforementioned mod is also enabled alongside this.
This feels really close to the blacksmithing minigame in boktai 2!
I wouldn't be surprised if you got some inspiration from it, or even if you didn't, it's still incredibly awesome!
It's not terribly useful, but it gives a bit more agency over your gear quality and, hopefully, the minigames are fun to play.
