Need post 93 vfe Compatible

with this mod can we hear the gun shots far away like the vanilla sounds of the weapons ? in pvp is good so you can hear who is shooting you, the normal sounds from britas you cant hear until the person is literally by your side xD Thank You !

It's taking Brita a while to update their mods for B42. Is there a particular reason why you're waiting for them to update their mods? Just asking cuz in B42, the default gun sounds are boring. No rush or pressure, and sorry if this question has been asked already.

wonderful mod, this version is better than the other mod called weapon sound overhaul or something like that, u did a great job but i cannot recommend this mod in MP because of the sound bug, do you know why it works like that? or someone reading this know why the sounds are muted after 15 tiles? thanks

Love the sounds, but it doesn't work after 16 tiles away, completely muted sounds. Needs attention if you have a pvp focused server.

@Mountain I don't know how to fix it. I wish I could get a help with it.

When you apply this mod in MP, you won't hear gunshots if you're about 15 tiles away from the gunshot source. Does this apply to zombies as well? Even if you use a gun, zombies around you won't react if you get too far away. Is there a way to fix this?

Small update - LVOA-C in Brita weapon mod is changed (include suppressed sound)
it is using MK18 sound from SCP:5K (include suppressed sound)

@B40s and anyone else asking about the gun sounds not appearing after 10-15 tiles, if you find a fix let me know. We've been trying to get it fixed on our server as well. For some reason something with Britas causes it. We would love to use Britas gun sounds but due to this issue we are forced to run Britas with vanilla gunsounds. We've been looking for a fix to this issue for years and have had no luck.

@®Psyern® how do you make it so the gun sound doesnt just disapear for other players after ~20 meter or so?

for unsupported weapon mods, will those mods (in this case, Scrap Workshop - Weapons) use their own gun sounds/vanilla gun sounds, or will they conflict and cause no gun sound to occur?

also for anyone else with potential input - in our mp server we can't hear gunshots from each other more than like 10-15 tiles away. Is that due to using a gun sound mod, or is it a vanilla problem in multiplayer?

tried it for our MP Server.
I am using over 150 Mods and this is one of the most important.
This mod adds so much more depth to the game. I was already fed up with the monotonous sounds.
We use BRITAS, VFE, Arsenal(26)GunFighter[MAIN MOD 2.0] and so far, there haven't been any bugs.

Most underrated MOD in my opinion.

The icon M1 grand on firearms B41 revamped seem to have dissapear and is instead replaced with a question mark with this mod

Any idea what would cause the sound not to be heard by zombies and players outside of a certain range in MP?

Any chance we could get Guns of 93 support for this mod? I love the sounds but they don't seem to work with that.

@gNecrOz Whatever I turned this mod or not, it happens same for me in test. I guess it's original mod's problem, but not from my mod. Looks like there is another usable M1 garand item in Brita.

I did notice that this, for whatever reason, for me at least, breaks the M1 Garand Image in inventory. No error, just the (?) over the item stating that it is being overhauled by Gun Sound.

Does subbing to this mod make it work? or do you need to install it similar to Car Physics Overhaul?

Does not seem to work with guns of 93... I can hear the first initial shot but afterwards the sound is gone.. If it helps I am also using advanced trajectory

@giodolmio All multiplay server has different own setting. I can't answer. This mod is basically same with Weapon Sound Expansion mod, only different sound file, more sounds. I didn't touch anything just more and different sound file

hey i noticed a bug in mp that zombies cant hear the gun sounds when they are about 20m away and the same goes with players, i cant hear their gun shots when they are 20m or more away. maybe i did soemthing wrong with settings?

the lack of echo kinda ruins this for me.

@Singlain I see now and that is on purpose not the problem. This mod basically aim for Brita weapons. I add compability B41 Revamped later by request.

B41 Revamped has much much low RPM, but Brita Weapon mod has higher RPM. If I use echo 2~3sec, the echo sound going really crazy odd in full automatic shots in Brita. That's why I had to reduce echo time from sound.
That's why I post the sample video so you can expect what sounds have on this mod.

@exit1423 all the guns in fact. try shooting a gun without this mod and you'll hear not just a shot, but an echo accompanying it. with your mod shots sound like a sound file playing without any additional effects

@Singlain I tested again, all sound just working fine. I don't know what echo you talking about, so please tell me which gun model sound is odd.

disabling the mod fixed the issue so i guess its the mod's fault
im using b41 firearms revamped

i dont know why but sometimes theres no echo from firing sound

@Zenthynell - Brita weapon mod already has own dropping case sound. I suggeset to use Brita.

@nealkane @Guipu - I'm not a god I don't know which mod you are saying. Check the description which mod is compatible.

I had the same problem, the sound of the gun wouldn't change when using a suppressor.

what about the dropping spent casing sound effects? there is no sound of spent casing being dropped at least for the M16A2 B41 Firearms.
