@holiday: rt stable(ish) turn 200+ it gets sluggish (quickmove helps)

its nice but when you came 250-300 turns, game start to slow. and some times crashes:(

As in terms of saphir's problem, maybe that you have run out of visual (can only load so many chuncks etc. cant remember what it's actually called.) memory? Recoomend turning down your graphics that might help. If they are already on the maxium lowness and you keep getting the same problem your graphics card maybe out of date. In other words to much is being loaded thus the crash. hope this helps.

it looks like it would work fine, but I played with 12 factions and after turn 540 any sav get crash when I exit game after save it, start again and try to load the sav. Until turn 540 all is fine.

However, if I do not exit, I can continue the game w/o problems. Its the loading of the sav only.

Means, the last computer shut down may not be later than turn 540 and then I have to stay in game until its end. Otherwise I have to load the 540 turn again as the last loadable sav w/o crash.

I have a question, is there a way to mod Rising Tides maps / planets to be like 80% to 90% sea? on a Stardard and up size map?

@NoBull I have encountered this error as well, to fix it you simply have to load your mods twice. After it loads it the first time go back to the mods selection screen and reload the mods again. Works for me every time so far

doesnt work anymore....when i start up a game, the action UI such as when you click on a worker and the UI were you select what you want it to build or remove does not appear. goes for all units....

When I start a game with "larger maps", I chose super massive, and absolutely no terrain appears, therefor, no landing spot, no NUTHIN'.

im not getting an aliens at all, even in frenzied. i got to turn 160 and found two siege worms at once, and other than that havent seen ONE alien. not sure whats going on there.

We're playing the large atlantean version in multiplayer. Two humans, three AI. We are on turn 390 and the game will no longer load. Sometimes it loads enough to crash and try to resync, creating a resync autosave. The save file(currently 1.62mb) is easily 50% larger than our longest games on default massive maps. I'm assuming it's a limitation in the game itself and not the map. Just fyi.

I can conifrm what saphir wrote; I had to do the same thing in order to get the bigger maps to show up for me (rename them, in other words). I had played a couple of games after subscribing and selecting under 'mods' during initial game setup, but the 'massive' maps were still just the default 'massive' maps, until I renamed the files and started a new game. And now... they are truly massive. Thanks! :)

seems kind of sluggish, the more mods u use, and massive map, alot empires seems slow downs. but no problem, thou with every mod i always make notes to follow to avoid "slugs"

just tested: I need to move the Mod's maps to F:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\Maps ( have steam on F:) AND rename them to the original map names, i.e. LargerTerranMap.lua to Terran.lua

\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\Maps contsins the original maps only, not the new by rthis mod. As I undertstand, the steam update didn't work coprrectly ?

The Mod's maps are in \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\MODS\Larger Maps (v 3) only.

I now updated to v3, the max size I get (terran like, large) is with a high of ca. 60 tilles, and a big ice border at top and buttom, and another big border with empoty tiles.
I think, it's the 104x64 vanilla, playable with max 12 sponsors.

So it looks like the mod does not work for me,, but what I do wrong?

You shouldn't need to copy *any* files to the assets folder.

This worked for a friend and I and we played multiplayer. Just copy whichever maps you want to play from Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\MODS\Larger Maps (v 2) into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\assets\Maps we didnt even rename them and it wroked great for us!!

Feanor, as far as I know, mods aren't currently useable in multiplayer, and I don't believe Firaxis has any plans to make them useable in multiplayer.
