breaking the cloak switcher is a very cool mechanic, but i haven't managed to actually hit it in a battle. they're simply too agile for me to land a hit!

You can do it yourself.
Go into ZBase settings > "ZBase" > "A - General" and check "Default Spawn Menu" setting.
