Your allies defending you from a distance in a set position with an regenerating armor shield bubble is fun, and fits in well mechanically when you don't have any weapons equipped while carrying scrap, although they tend to not contribute to anything for you when you're farther away.
The landscape's geometry is very poorly designed with it being half diamond shape spam, but the fact that robots are forced to slide off of the sides of the half diamonds if you get on them makes combat really awkward on them. You and enemies also can get stuck between the shapes, and dashing is the only way out of them.
