A 64 bit increase seems like it may have unforeseen implications.

Mods and plugins would not be preserved with 64-bit as they were compiled for 32-bit. Sourcemod would not have any support and plugins would need to be updated to work with 64-bit. All signatures/offsets would need to be updated in any plugins that used these as well. Hooking methods are different on 64-bit compared to 32-bit. Mid function hooks require an assembler. It's going to be an equal amount of work to update plugins for 64-bit as it would be to update for source 2.

the only solution to stop the crash is using DXVK,but on some computer is 50-50
and yeah 64 bit upgrade so everyone can rest in peace.

l4d2 needs a 64 bit upgrade so bad. i have a mid/high range pc and this game crash so much with survivors and weapon mods.

Gatekeeping mods for no other reason than to be petty is pathetic. All i see from this are insecurities and false power. Doesn't hurt to do nice things :/

all I see is meat riding. your saying to compress it but I can't compress without permission from the author. seems as tho you dont like compressions. compressing literally reduces crashing. I have MW HQ compressed weapons for all my weapons and I dont crash, custom or normal campaign. why do you think so many players want compression? sure, I can turn shaders down and pool memory down to use these weapons no problem. but, like I said, I don't want my game to run at lower fps and look worse. I shouldn't have to do this to use weapons I like. To be fair, these mods are probably made for people who pay animal. What doesn't make sense are the contributors not wanting external modifications or compression for these mods. It doesn't hurt anyone to allow this and gives more opportunity for everyone to be happy. All I'm saying is there is no point in not making/allowing these mods to be modified for those who can't use them. Some people who play this game don't have a good computer

You don't really think compression mapping can improve the crash, do you? My < Addons > folder has a 40GB module. Flashback only appears in the custom map, and the number of flashbacks can be counted by hand.

I suggest you make a 64-bit game patch.

I run with 3070 and i7 11th and 16GB ram. you can see that most mod I make are HQ from eft. I run with all those mods in the custom map Nanning. No crashing.

Seems like someone's skill issue.
