@tricon I figured it out. I was being an idiot and didn't realize there was multiple pages on the upgrade tab.

@Thanatos Do you mean the 76mm upgrade for the US tanks? I believe that is also the prerequisite for the Pershing's special ability.

@tricon The DAK variant would be good.

I installed the company of heroes 2 tools and copied Janne252's COH2RGTViewer to its main folder to view rtg files and from there I can export the icons as png. I also used SGAReader to extract the rtg files.

@mr. Knecht Ruprecht The way the upgrade works right now needs to use the Stummel version of the 251 which doesn't align quite right with the frame of the Walking Stuka. I'll try switching the model to the DAK one and see what happens.

And what process did you use to convert the .rgt files to .png? My method has been to convert them all to .tga images which the Essence Editor for CoH3 will burn as-is. But as a .png it might be a nice resource for everyone to download.

@tricon Just tried the walking stuka it works as intended, not sure if you can correct the alignment of the rocket launcher since it uses the stummel model.
Regarding the icons please let me know if I can be of any help. I've already saved and converted a bunch of coh1 icons to png.

@mr. Knecht Ruprecht Oh thanks for letting me know -- Definitely a bug! I'll get that fixed as soon as possible. And I ripped the icons from the original Company of Heroes but I'll have to check the relaunch version. If those icons are transparent they will certainly blend nicer. Thanks!

Nice job! I think the walking stuka is a bit op though. It can fire barrages without any cost.
Also I'm not sure where did you get the CoH1 icons from, but if you have the game installed every icon is available in the Company of Heroes Relaunch\WW2\Archives\WW2Art.sga file. If you do it that way the icons will have the gray CoH3 background instead of the sand color of CoH1. They would blend in more in my opinion.

@|Lørd|Schwefel Glad you like it! And I wish it could work that way with the Wehrmacht vet -- it would be much more accurate to VCoH. Unfortunately so far as I've been able to figure out, the dev tools don't let you modify the actual vet system. I'll keep exploring options though!

it would be cool if you made the Wehrmacht's vet more recognizable, that they don't get vet on their own but only through the techs
maybe you could add the British and PE from coh1, that would be very interesting

@kethploy I'm not sure if/how the editor lets you create totally new upgrades, but what I did was clone an existing upgrade and changed what it did. I used that same trick for the squad weapon upgrades too.

How did you do the Puma upgrade ? I know how to change the vehicle turret with hardpoint system but i dont how to make vehicle change turret via upgrade system.

@mr. Tentomushi Definitely! Now that the AI is at least functional the next couple updates will be mostly updating (reverting?) the icons and user interface.

Maaan this is so damn awesome. It feels like I'm back in 2006 again. Only if you could update the icons with with the ones from the first game. For example I just can't stand the sticky bomb icon and relic has been reluctant to fix it since launch. I saw you added the company/doctrine icons from coh1 so I wonder if it would be possible.

You might have to change the fx_action_target_name attribute to 'flamethrower_target' and fx_munition_name to 'flamethrower' to get the projectile effects to look right. There might be more too. I would check one of the existing flame weapons and copy its values.

I am ware of all of this but what attributes? I mean I found another way to do it, with just by changing the effect but the flame shower doesn't show up, the flame burning the ground effect shows up and the units burning shows.

To change the turret, you have to know how to use ESSENCE EFITOR.

Inside, you may create new units items, like tanks, infantry etc… each item owns his own graphics for each part of the unit (in the case of tank for ex). Each part owns his owns attributes. Knowing that, you change all the characteristics you want. For the gun, you may choose the power, the rate, the distance, type of ammo, and so many things.

Which one? The Puma uses a modified Pv IV turret (although it shoots similar to the Pz III 50mm), and the Crocodile has a dummy 75mm Sherman turret with a flame turret attachment. The Flammenwerfers replace the mg34 on the half-track (which was really funny when the gunner was still operating it).

Its strategies are a bit deranged sometimes, but the AI should now be working for both US and Wehrmacht.
