for some reason the icon doesnt show up on the hud but instead only shows up when i pick it up (the animation to alerts you what you just grabbed, idk how else to describe it)

I liked both actually, but i think this one is a bit better for me cuz it looks more like the l4d1 icons style, which i prefer more personally.

This looks great, but it doesn't include the smaller icon (the one that appears over the healthbars and on the sidehud) and it's ever slightly too big and as a result, clips through the panel border a touch.

Otherwise this looks great
