@paolini ah yes the good old use terraform for non cheaty reasons right? A waste of oxygen you are :D
Paolini 6. okt. kl. 8:01
So it this real terraforming or only a visual change ?
Paolini 6. okt. kl. 8:00
@ [59er]ʕ•ᴥ•ʔDungeonmaster that's a cheat mod buddy. At that point just enable dev mode.
" I was unable to find any mod that simply gives the option to "terraform" the terrain without the implementation of new mechanics."

HoboOfSerenity : Thanks a lot

Works with 1.6, but it throws an xml error.

"XML error: <placingDraggableDimensions>1</placingDraggableDimensions> doesn't correspond to any field in type ThingDef. Context: <ThingDef" in 10 different spots.

Can be fixed by searching and replacing <placingDraggableDimensions>1</placingDraggableDimensions> with nothing in the TerraIn_Floor.xml file located in 1.5/Patches within the mods folder. There is only once instance of it to remove.

Mod works just fine without it, and you can click and drag, everything that I've tried so far.

All the terrains are functional.
Andreas 22. maj kl. 6:18
How functional is this terrain compared to the vanilla terrain? I see from a previous comment that water can't be used for fishing. But is everything else functional? Can you farm on the soil placed by this mod or is it, as the description suggests, purely decorative? Thanks!
SpaceGhost 17. jan. kl. 8:50
I'm liking the improvements you've made to the mod. Is there any reason a dig spot receives a penalty when outdoors? Isn't this where you should be digging up soil?

Let me know if there still is a problem :)
Byter 13. okt. 2024 kl. 12:48
Awesome. Thanks! :Djoe:

New update fixed the terrain tiles from adding to the colony wealth. Hope you guys enjoy.

@ Byter
Thanks for linking the mod, had a look on how "Floors Are (Almost) Worthless" changed it and added something similar to my tiles.
Byter 13. okt. 2024 kl. 8:37
Thanks for checking that out. In the meantime I'm using https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2960126462 to compensate for the sudden rise in wealth :winter2019coolyul:
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 13. okt. 2024 kl. 0:54
@ Byter
I've checked and this is indeed cause by my mod. I'll have a look to see if I can fix the wealth but this will require coding in C# which I do not have experience with. I'll also have a look at the recipes not showing up.

@brrygo98
Yeah it is caused by this mod. It's more an oversight from me. I was unaware that adding "work to build" to the terrain tiles also adds wealth to them. I'll have a look if I can exclude the terrain tiles from the wealth calculation.
Byter 12. okt. 2024 kl. 8:00
Another thing I just noticed: When a pawn makes rich soil on the botany workbench, the job description says "Doing an unknown recipe".. :bbtcat:
Byter 10. okt. 2024 kl. 0:31
Latest changelog includes:

Fix: Incorrect wealth calculation on buildings with def-defined base market value

So maybe this has to do with that? Cause I think deep water and stuff now has value? Unsure if it did before. You can imagine how this blows up on an island with 60% of the map being water haha
brrygo98 9. okt. 2024 kl. 19:12
I'm having the same problem. My building wealth is unbelievably high and i'm not even 5 days into my current colony. I started out with this wealth as well, and from a quick search on building wealth spiking/being unreasonably high, it was usually due to Mods that dealt with terrain/terraforming. Since this is the only mod Ive added to my mod list recently (aside from its [SYR] dependency) Im assuming theres a conflict going on.
Byter 9. okt. 2024 kl. 10:22
Just booted up my colony and my building wealth exploded. Could it be the latest updates to this mod? I've been building an island using deep ocean water and stuff.
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 4. okt. 2024 kl. 10:10
New update, all items now have cost and they all have a recipe. Let me know what you think.
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 23. sep. 2024 kl. 20:08
@ Duke Flapjack
Sadly not, I've not heard from this mod before.
Duke Flapjack 22. sep. 2024 kl. 6:00
So is this FINALLY a replacement for fertile fields? That mod is absolutely indispensable except others do everything just BETTER apart from the terraforming.
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2024 kl. 9:18
New Update with rough stone walls and categorized everything in a new menu.
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2024 kl. 14:35
@Ketty
Glad you like it. Have fun.

@Yan Lucas
This is on my to do list. My plan was to add the rough stone walls which would also be smoothable. I'm trying to push out an update after the weekend. So stay tuned.
yan lucas 13. sep. 2024 kl. 11:06
could you make this also place montains too(maybe as a devmode only)
i sometimes have some weird montain generation that causes a raid or a guess to spawn somewhere they would get stuck, so a way to quickly filling the edge of my map with slate would be amazing
ketty 13. sep. 2024 kl. 8:55
thanks - hate the dev mode rectangle tool. needed something that works with Designator Shapes :)

New update with the requested of adding waters by @Donoya
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2024 kl. 11:26
@Donoya
Thank you for the feedback. Adding water is one of the things on my list. As for the rich soil, I understand. I'm thinking on beter ways to implement it, will see what i can do.
Olyndra 8. sep. 2024 kl. 0:02
I feel like this is missing the ability to make water and deep water. Plus there's the river variants. I think the costs, research, etc, should be optional. This way, there's flexibility. You could also make visual only floors that aren't the vanilla terrains but mimic them visually, which would prevent you from placing infinite rich soil wherever you wanted for free, but you could still make it look like rich soil. These floors would be actual floors and not terrain, so you could remove them using remove floor which would reveal the underlying terrain.
Boeker  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2024 kl. 12:33
@SpaceGhost
Thanks for your input. I've had a crack at your request and came up with something I think you'll like. It still uses base game texture as I am not a good artist. Maybe you can come up with some texture so i can add them. I also thought that it would need a seperate mod.

Anyways, here is your requested mod:

Hey cool! I was just looking for mud in my menus and realized none of the mods I have added it. I have three ideas that you might be interested in or feel they don't fit the mod.

One is a terrain tile that increases decay speed of the items on top of it.
Another is an enhanced mud of sorts which would have higher move speed penalties.
And lastly, a simple to make terrain that's extremely flammable.
