Cool class. I think there should be more impact, a bit more umph, in the beast form. Also, I think the text should be "In human form:" rather than "Human to Beast", makes it simpler to understand.

that was done beause of technical limitation, so this is not getting changed. And making transform be automatic based on health % is buggy and unstable, so that's also not happening

I love this re-balance in every way. The only critique I have is that the transformation replacing the move button is a little off putting. If giving 0 movability is a way of balancing her thats fine, but it forces you to take her holy lance for when shes displaced. Maybe give the move back and make it so she only transforms automatically based on some trigger like half health?

Wish she had more colors like the human mod version. Otherwise a great mod.

@Soggy pizza Does one of the older versions of the Duchess have compatibility with a save that has Crimson Court disabled? The class herself is quite neat, but I don't personally enjoy playing with Crimson Court. Any response is appreciated, thank you.

game not booting is not a problem with the mod. It's a problem caused by PC or rarely mod xml. But if this mod had broken xml then it wouldnt be on the workshop. So either something is wrong with your pc, or you need to do clean resubscribe to this mod (maybe steam download got corrupted).

Download and copy the folder called "audio" into Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 262060 > 3325173032 and let it replace the folder already in there named "audio"

i mean load order. Sound not playing is load order conflict. Low volume is not a bug, she's just a bit lower volume overall

@Soggy pizza just clicking the subscribe button it is nothing about incorrect mod installation. All of her skill sounds play at very low dont know why.

Sorry for all the hassle. Turns out the original duchess bank files are in this mod, so all I had to do was change the guid_override files to reference those sound files instead. Easy.

In other news, I actually made some of the original duchess palettes compatible with this mod. I only did the purple and red one, but it's something for people who prefer this rework but want the colour variety. I made their affliction/heroic sprites colour match too.

@Soggy pizza and others, feel free to implement these into your mod if you want. Just happy to put stuff out there. If you want to discuss anything or for me to remove this, let me know.

In anyone wants to try these , put Duchess_B and C in Steam > steamapps > content > 262060 > 3325173032 > heroes > duchess. Make sure to delete "modfiles" from 3325173032 for them to work. Enjoy.

original sound files a bit lower volume, yes. Like compared to bone captain's nuclear exlosion sfx used for mace smash duchess is a slight gust of wind. But inside her sound bank, where settings are defined, sounds are brought up to an acceptable in-game volume (not matching vanilla loudest, obsiously). But editing sound bank settings after export is not possible, so that's not an option for end user unfortunately. Only option for user is cracking open sound bank in fmod studio and setting settings all over again manually. I'll talk to our sound uhhh person and we'll see if anytime soon bank volume can be tweaked

@soggy pizza. It's really a minor thing, and I do understand the wild volume inconsistency in base game (I always just adjust the sfx down a bit). I was more curious if the sound files being lower on their own, or if there was some way to easily adjust a class' skill volume with a config in bank load order or override files. People don't seem to care, so I'm sorry I brought attention to it. I can pull the sound files from the original duchess mod or simply edit the gain on the one's present. Thanks for confirmation on everything.

it IS true that her sounds are lower volume than usual. However it's red hook who are inconsistent with sound volume (and also bad at picking volume in general) - it jumps around between vanilla and DLCs (in vanilla each sound reaches peaks and blasts out any headphones that play them at full volume). So duchess sounds are about 30% lower volume than loudest sounds in vanilla. This is the first time someone brings up this aspect of the mod, so i'm not sure if its really necessary to bring duchess soundbank to vanillas blasting volume.

Hey. Absolutely love the mod. This version makes the Duchess one of my favourite classes. Now, maybe this is something on my end, but the audio of all her skills seem to play at around half the volume of any default game sounds for me. I find this odd, cause after extracting the .wav files from the banks and comparing them, they sound just as loud isolated, yet in game it's not the same. This is true after a fresh subscription to the mod. Any idea what could be affecting specifically her audio, or am I seriously just imagining this? Thanks.
