Because of the way this mod works (and limitations of B41), you dont actually go underground, but are teleported elsewhere on the worldmap The cells it occupies conflicts with Kingsmouth, KY as well as Echo Station. I.e. its in the middle of nowhere on the top left side of the map.
Coming back to that limitation, this is likely why the OG mod was removed from workshop. Considering basements are being added to B42, and that this mod was essentially trying to simulate a basement. My guess is that the OG author (an IndieStone dev) chose to remove it since maintaining it and being heckled by others about where to find it (and why he won't fix it) is counterproductive to actually developing the game.
PlanetAlgol uploaded some of the most used mods in project zomboid history that many, many servers and modlists relied on to function.
Him deleting them without warning or without saying a word not only shows how little he cares about the project zomboid community, but it also shows that he has no right to complain of someone else reuploads them.
"As a mod author, this is uploaded rather shoddily."
That said, I'm going to have to report as this entire upload is done 100% in bad faith.
Take this as an offense or don't, but something has to be said against the mismanagement of you trying to preserve something that was never allowed for in the first place.
I am simply doing the community a favor by preserving the mods 70% of the servers used and re-uploading them for them.
May I remind you that most servers failed to work once the mods were deleted, new players couldn't join and server owners couldn't figure out the issue and I myself spent over 7 hours trying to figure out what's going on cause I relied on three planetalgol mods.
As for the documentation itself and the information, I couldn't get an archived version on wayback machine to copy into the description, I relied on the reddit posts and youtube videos I could find about it.
As for the permission itself, if planetalgol requests this to be removed I'd happily remove it immediately, I am sure Blair removed the mods to avoid people asking him to fix things that weren't bugs or mistreat him until he just got tired and deleted everything.
Not only did Planetalgol delete his mods for a reason, this is uploaded without permission (reupload of his mods used to require permission) and without all required information and/or mods. If you're going to reupload someone else's work then you should make sure you playtest it enough to make sure you can provide all relevant information to people who may sub to it.
