fyi this is a finished product. theres nothing left to add and ive moved on, so no more updates except to make sure it keeps up with any possible mcc updates.

The third-person view and controls and their limits are pretty tough to get through, especially between the reticle offset and the certain animations that can just doom the player, but design-wise this level is quite fun. Maybe it's just the music I'm listening to, but it feels like a Hotline Miami level in terms of the overall enemy placement and flow of combat.

Lot of issues with this level holding it back from being amazing, the stun locking when your shield breaks needs to be removed if possible, weapon zooming needs fixed if the slow grenade windup is staying, no need to spawn at the back of the pod to be blocked by AI either team killing should be more efficient or we should spawn at the front and the god awful crosshair placement needs fixed there are times my crosshair is on them to the right and the bullets are going over the top of my left shoulder which is just ridiculous

Okay, I just tried this, and it is a very short but sweet level to run through, like a small slice of cheese cake. If you take into account that the cheesecake is filled with rusty nails and a punch to the face every time you eat it. Jokes aside, this was a pretty well-put together mod for what it is, even if it is ball busting to the core on Legendary. Just my kind of mod. Great job as always, Siege.

yeah nah the weapons need to actually have their fire aligned with the reticule. it kinda sucks to play otherwise.

it being third person kinda sucks because of the way the weapons fire is "aligned". the melee animations are broken yet it still happens just on a delay.

I'm referring to the core functionality of the projectile being hitscan and thus rng based, I can either do low accuracy hitscan - being too easy and cheap, or high accuracy hitscan - which forces cover shooting as you said.

I chose cover shooting. The level is so short and simple that having high difficulty is really its main selling point particularly on legendary. Otherwise your in and out in 45 seconds and thats just boring. If its hard, theres hidden caches of goods, and your allies are plentiful.

You can edit he actor variants so they don't basically have aimbot level aim.

It's too short for checkpoints, I tried them and the limited encounters means no difficulty, just trial an error, no threat of any setbacks.

I noticed the lack of dodging fire, so I added some enemies with plasma weapons in my last update. Nothing you can really do about hitscan though.

Nice concept, but

Has anyone actually been able to finish this on legendary? I've been able to kill Keyes a few times but cannot make the return trip any of my attempts. Its a lot of fun playing as a realistic elite against all odds, I just wish for 20-30 more seconds lol the flamethrower is also the only viable option to push the command center on legendary. There is no other way to be able to clear out the Chief and his ODST super squad without one.

It is a neat premise and I love what little details I could see blazing through the mod. However the problem is just that, I don't have time to stop and observe the level. Having it in third person also doesn't help when it comes to aiming my weapon. A lot of times, I found my rounds shooting to the left of the reticle, only slightly but usually just enough to get me killed.

Would enjoy a version with no timer and in first person.

Not really sure what the easter egg was (its kinda hard to look at things when 1/3 of your screen is just a hulking Elite.

Looking at the Issues/Notices section, I can also say that the grunts can also block the doorway even if you do let the cutscene play in full.

The level is very much thematic to Mile High Club, AI Chief is easy to deal with, the main problem child in my eyes is the Legendary experience and the fact everything HAS to be perfect on Legendary. The timer is not just stricter, going from 4 minutes to 3 minutes, the enemies are seemingly doubled up and one thing going wrong, one shot missed, one bad grenade chain, even the AI allies dying early, Hell, just skipping the cutscene and having allies block your path can screw you over. On Legendary, the AI are super omega spongey and the ODST's take like 4-5 fuel rod shots to kill, Marines need 3-4. Unironically Chief is easier to kill than your average ODST on Legendary. Not having a checkpoint after killing Keyes & Chief is really brutal considering you have to do it all in one go.

After doing my Legendary run which took like, an hour or so, Heroic and under was considerably easier. The Legendary run is for the psychopaths of Halo.

Cool mod, though I'm not sure about rocket launcher enemies that can easily restart the run. The rest is fun!
