oo sry I have your mod and a mod for 3x unit size and today I noticed that the hammer carrier is not 300 but only 100 units size, so the mod only doesn't work for that one the mod is called True Unit Size (x3)

There may some conflicts since it looks like that mod changes some of the same things (e.g., Irondrake recruitment), but I think it would mostly work fine.

Thanks! I have a personal (unreleased) balance mod with multiple little adjustments to several races, but as of yet, nothing so substantial for a single race as I've done for the Dwarfs here.

Update 2.2: New Ability - IRON TACTICS

Irondrakes have a received a new passive ability, Iron Tactics, which activates whenever they are within 45m of a friendly Ironbreaker unit, granting them increased melee defence and speed (similar to Evasion). This has been added to promote using these units together as befits their shared origin.

The way how unit recruitment tiers have been compressed again and again I think is to make the anemic AI actually be able to reach top-tier units.

That is intentional. Volley Fire is only for Thunderers by design, as is the recruit rank bonus (Slayer Pirates get this bonus later in the Slayer line).

What IS your mod for sure is, Volley Fire does not apply to slayer pirates; is that intentional, or just due to bringing it back from the grave?

Thanks for the feedback! The mod should not be doing that, but it does change the last tech on the Great Weapon line so that Quarrelers w/ GW and Rangers w/ GW also receive Charge *Reflection*. Perhaps that's what you're seeing? Also worth noting that shielded Dwarf Warriors and Longbeards -- as well as GW Longbeards -- already had Charge Defense Against Large by default in vanilla. This is the main reason why I thought Hammerers ought to have it, too.

Hey, I think your mod is actually giving every melee GW dwarf charge defense. Tbh, maybe not a terrible idea due to just how much better shield is right now, but still, reads like you only intended it for hammerers.

Nerfed Ironbreakers?!? That’s going in the book!!!

Trope joke aside, the changes here actually make a ton of sense. Ironbreakers still will be the best defense on the game, although t3 sounds frightening.

I love that you also snuck a campaign buff in for longbeard GW; now they won’t be auto-pass due to sharing a tier with hammerers.
