Oh don't get me wrong, I know how it feels when it comes to that difficulty spike between the two can be demotivating if anything it's worse in L4D1 compared to L4D2 because Tanks in L4D1 would at least finish you off versus going for the next survivor that's up like they do in L4D2, it also didn't help that being downed in L4D1 caused friendly fire which can make avoiding the Tank harder if one stray bullet clipped you and made you start limping.
I believe it does however there's mechanics in L4D1 that straight up also don't exist in L4D2, like for example in L4D1 in the campaign the Tank would get a slight speed boost when on fire compared to versus mode in the same game, L4D2 that mechanic is just gone.
i used to mainly play on advanced but lately i found myself feeling a bit more confident and prepared with this on and having more fun in general, i might even at some point just stop using this if i feel confident enough.
i made this because i just thought the leap between advanced and expert in terms of tank damage is a bit weird.
as you can probably imagine, having a tank spawn where you'd least expect and losing because all of the bots suddenly turned into the most incompetent teammates ever is demotivating.
i like the challenge of expert, it's just that one aspect that i don't like. this just makes it a bit more comfortable to play expert, especially with friends.
Least it's still used as the preview image.
