Now this is a very good idea but, with how unwilling Valve appears to be for even allowing the most minor details be removable I.E. The Sniper's glasses, it's incredibly unlikely Valve will want large areas to be removable, the only way I can really see Valve caring is if a lot of the more prominent community workshoppers make a noise about it, and I suppose the main example of wanting removable torsos would be when the Pathfinder was getting flak for the chunky soldier arms.

i think it would be more useful if all your custom bodygroups had options to remove whole parts of the body like right leg, left leg, arm, torso, etc

It would be useful for shirt items, especially since basically every shirt item in the game has unavoidable clipping at the armpits

They basically allow for cosmetic creators to work with the model better so they dont need to think of workarounds for parts on the model, for example alot of heavy shirts get ruined because the bandolier cannot be removed.
