@NoToast, yeah a similar thought led me to make this mod. After about 20 hours of playing the regular maps, I decided having stuff on them might be fun (and to help with the problem of being forced to just run laps around perimeter on some waves). Now, I set the options to spawn junk every wave. I like more interactive maps/elements. Also, I saw blips in the dev's code about 'obstacles' and even 'pets' so maybe they at some point envisioned something similar(?).
