Im using a windows server, and tadst. Make sure you copy the @Armageddon folder into your server directory, then play the game locally on your machine, not the server, let it load, then bail out, then go to your documents folder/saved/steammpmissions and grab the pbo, rename it armageddon.altis, then do what you normally do with tadst. I hope this is helpful. I Launch the game each time me and my buddy play. I set persistence and autoinit to on, and we play, then I shut it off. Not sure what happens if you leave it running, might stay in the water forever, not sure

This still works on a dedicated server. I load a bunch of other mods with it just for fun, like armafxp, blastcore edited, project sfx remastered and real engine. Makes it really cool.

This may have been asked before in the past, but how would I go about adding these scripts to other missions such as those on CUP map pack? I attempted to haphazardly rip everything out of the ArmAgeddon pbo and slap it onto another map. Any help is welcome.

Howdy March, I responded to your question on YT but I'll respond here as well. Are you trying to host the game directly? If so, it likely won't work as it's been re-coded for dedicated server use. Familiar with how to start that?

If ya'll need any help with a batch file, let me know. I use one on my server here to load in a headless client with it with CPU affinity although that value would have to change according to the one you're using.

yeah, the game thinking that the water is higher than is displayed is a game-breaker in the later stages, because the AI helis won't land :(
Headed NW before, to the Oreokastro area for height, but at that point in the game there were no troops and no helis. Gave up in the end lol. Straight West next time then!

@vonstickers Yep that was one of a few small things leftover that irked me that I couldn't resolve. That normally happens as the mission progresses and the water rises. I'd contemplated writing a routine that would monitor the AI to see if any of them were in swimming animation and, if they were, would kill them.

Also, there seems to be an issue with the (perceived) water height. Enemy AI are often a good 10 feet above the actual water level, swimming in the air; I think the fact that the system seems to think they're underwater is causing helis not to attempt to pick them up, so towards the later stages you can be trapped on a piece of land with no chance of an enemy heli landing near you. At that point, you're just milling around with nothing left to do do but #restart.
Despite the issues, still a good fun mission though :)

@Dr Von Goosewing, oh yeah ok you mean accessing killed enemy AI bodies. Yeah we rtan into the same thing too intermittently and couldn't figure out why. I've attributed it to something with Arma as I have no idea what's causing it.

@BDC often we can't access attachments, or contents of uniforms/vests. but right clicking will allow you to pick up the uniforms/vests/bags etc. Respawning will also fix the issue.Its happening more often than not. This is not effecting "random" loot placed in the mission only loot from dead AI. It seams mainly to be after 20-30 mins of play time.

*please note the is the same issue vonstickers posted in the mission workshop.

@Shiloh The mod should work in "local host" but is intended for dedicated + headless. Try running a dedicated server and see if the issue is still happening. My self and a small group have run this many times despite a few tiny issues with looting and the loud intro all is fine.

@BDC I have downloaded the mod and the mission file here. I then load the mod via the ARMA3 launcher. Once in ARMA3 I can see at the bottom left the mod is present. I then load the mod via the Multiplayer tab and host my own LAN server. Select Altis map. Choose the mission from the list in orange. Start the game. Game loads to map screen with the error. Loads up fine but just no effects or AI etc.

I need to look at that. All of what I tested with was with the Addon mod from the Workshop here. IIRC, there weren't any bikey or bisign files in it.

@BDC Seems to be an odd issue

1) The workshop addon is called "@ArmAGeddon Addon" but the version from armaholic is called "@ArmAGeddon".

2) The workshok version also has no key and getting the key from armaholic version causes a error.

*Tested on 2 dedicated servers same issue on both.

** Update using the addon from armaholic and included key on both server and client fixes the issue.

Super-truite and I have been talking about modifying the mission file to make it work as a listen (hosted) server. When I worked on it, I wrote it with dedicated server in mind, where a batch file loads it in using arma3server_x64.exe instead of being hosted as a game on the client's computer. If this is something of interest for people, I may pursue it and modify it where necessary to make it work, if possible. Otherwise, I suspect a batch file on the client computer for hosting would work just fine, especially if some CPU affinity is used to direct it to run on a different core than what Arma3 is running on.

The updated mission PBO has been sent to super-truite. It'll be updated on the ArmaGeddon Mission workshop item. I'll write up a Change Log for it detailing the things I fixed and changed if I can remember them all, heh heh.
