white hot gladius effect states it triggers on only slash dice but the effect triggers on both pierce and slash dice.

his 2 dice ? skill says roduces instead of reduces and his counter uses his enhanced EGO version even before manifesting.

Unopposed AOE damage is pretty busted on mobbing content and 5 light regen/page draw is insane for a 1 cost. E.G.O manifestation felt fun to play with and got me playing a bit more cautiously with the initial high cost of his new cards, the snowballing felt rewarding though when he starting ripping shit apart. Tried him out on Distorted Xiao and had a blast. I do think his base keypage is a bit bland though, as he is now most of the interesting parts of his kit and decision making is locked behind E.G.O. His AOE is only good on mobbing content which makes him a fish against bosses until he reaches E.G.O, and the only thing his other passives offer him is a counter dice. Maybe something that applies on hit and/or amplifies on hit effects against single targets so he can fill a utility role, or a passive that gives him dice power if attack weight is only targeting 1 or 2 targets so he can clash better against bosses would spice up his base keypage a bit more.

Hello Philip! I see you have balance suggestions
I'll see to your suggestions to see what sticks but I just wanted to give some context to my balance decisions
the Dice rolls are based on vanilla numbers, just looked through the average rolls of 2-3 cost SoTC and Impuritas cards, and the benefit of using these average cards being unopposed AoE damage, as well as just completely snowballing out of control in his EGO state(most of the deck becomes 0 cost while still dealing lots of damage)
But I am willing to discuss balance ideas to make the mod better to play

Greetings MothmanConnoisseur, I love the reception and keypage but I think that Vergilius needs a passive that increases his clashing power/dice power.

The problem with his keypage is that although he has strong pages, you are forced to go all in on dice power passives because the rolls on his dice aren't actually that good without ANY dice power.

I think that having a weaker version of the "Bloody Tears" passive be always available that either increases his dice power or reduces enemy dice power (More interesting and works with his whole seeing the enemy's weaknesses lore) to improve his clashing would go a long way to allowing users to be able to slot in other, more interesting passives that just 4-cost power passives and a hauler or 2 to mitigate the health loss from EGO.

For example, I think that adding on-hit passives could be a fun thing, but as it stand now there is simply no space to slot those passives in, as all the dice power is needed. Once he gets to EGO form, he feels very powerful but getting there is a painful en-devour that forced you to slot passives just to survive his pre-EGOstate.

For damage, currently, I think that pre-EGO his damage is lacking but after he reaches the EGO state it reaches very high numbers, so maybe you could have the shin as an always available passive so that the damage increase by emotion level is something that the player can feel as they play out the reception.

Just a personal thing but also maybe you could put 1 or 2 burn infliction on dice on some of his unique pages so that he has a place in a burn team with like philip passive rather than what he is now as a general "dps" that farms emotion coins from the AOE unopposed attacks which is only reinforced when he reaches Emotion level 4 and gains his EGO, where he gets a lot more damage.

I understand that balancing can be hard, but finally if you want any advice on his light/page draw ratios, maybe shift some of the gain from his pages to a "Leviatian" or similarly named passive, similar to Roland's "The Black Silence" passive where he is encouraged to keep fighting with some passive light restore and draw power. Maybe you can integrate clashing somehow, like on clash win draw 1 page and gain 1 light. (gain 5 light and 5 pages looks so goofy)

Thank you for making this mod, I love it, and even if the VFX edits never come our I think that the current slightly scuffed ones still have their own charm.

Then, I added a line of code like this here in OnInitializeMod:

VergilInitializer.GetArtWorks(new DirectoryInfo(VergilInitializer.path + "/ArtWork"));

After adding these codes, you only need to put the pictures of BUFF in the ArtWork folder in the same directory in Vergilius.dll to solve this problem.

The attack weight mechanic on his pages works counter-intuitive,and light restoration balance is broken. I suggest making scorching incision cost 0 and draw 1 page on hit with 1st and 2nd dices, while heated puncture will cost 1, restore 2 light on use and 1 on hit with 1st dice. And maybe sligtly buff I shall... since rolls don't match 4 light cost. And maybe you could add some burn to his kit, gladius is heated after all :)
